I checked their tweets between june-august.

Hah. I just reread the question and noticed it was about ASKING the devs for information about the state of the book I should pay attention. Oh well. But if the author of the book says it is going to be released, then I would believe it will be released.

Just to clarify, Catherynne Valente has said that her part in the book was finished a long time ago.

Sorry I am a non-twitter user as well but its a good idea.

I not sure I want the book to come out. While we will never have a DLC for it I would rather have the first mission of MEA2 be finding the quarian arc than have a book tell me about it. That being said I feel for the author who probably put a lot into this, i hope the delay is on biowares side. A legion of fans yapping away probably doesn't help a author if they are having issues going through final edits. My hope is last minute bioware decided to change the conclusion to them arriving in trouble with weeks of issues and it sets up the beginning of MEA2 where you find the arc. Without knowing more I wouldn't want to tweet about it and potentially pile on.

But... this is different?

Have given that a little push...

I agree that game content would be ideal, but the truth is that its better to get the narrative completed in some form so we're not left with a cliffhanger that may never get answered. I'd love new content, but I think we're all better to expect nothing but just try to get some kind of response about Annihilation.
