My pie-in-the-sky dream is that the book would get scrapped in favor of more game content. I have little interest in novels to complete the narrative that a game started. The same, I absolutely loathe having to have required reading to understand what is going on with the story in a video game. Like Halo 4 and its assumption that you had read the Forerunner series, and then watched the Halo live action film in order to fully grasp the narrative and characters in the central plot of the game. |

I'm not going to annoy the devs by re-tweeting them the same question that they obviously chose not to answer or cannot answer at this time. My vote is that on N7 day, BioWare is going to reveal that Annihilation has been shelved. I think it's a terrible idea but BioWare has no interest in getting this book out so that's the conclusion I've drawn.

If they were cancelling the book, I think doing it on N7 Day is probably the worst day they could do it for two reasons.
1. It would be kind of a spit in the face to do that on the day about Mass Effect, and would go completely against their notion of "We haven't abandoned Mass Effect" if on the very day dedicated to it they abandon a Mass Effect project.
2. It would not be a wise move financially since that is so close to Anthem's release and would thus no doubt possibly cause some to not buy the game because of how they will still be raw about this when it comes out.
