Destiny 2

Am I going to get that one at launch too? Probably

Figured I'd make this thread since I haven't seen anything destiny related.

anyone interested in destiny 2? Liking what the reveal showed? Anything you want to see improved from the first?

some differences I noticed wat hung the stream:

1.map is getting completely re-done

2. Weapon system has been changed to where it looks like you can carry three of the same time.

3. Adding a clan system in game

4. All pvp modes are going to a 4v4 format

5. New pvp mode called counter point (it's like halos assault mode where you take a bomb, arm it and then defend it).

6. Looks like it'll have more cinematics which should hopefully equate to a story 

7. New sub-classes: sentinel for titan (shield), electric staff for hunter (forgot name), and flaming sword for warlock (also forgot name but I'll be coming back to edit it).

8.new missions/strikes/raids (obviously lol).

i still have many questions after watching the stream. Hopefully most can be answered at E3.

my main ones would be:

1.dedicated servers?

2.how will missions be structured?

3. Will missions be different in variety? Got so tired of using the ghost to activate/scan and just defending vs waves of enemies, I want new and better things to do.

4. Will pvp and pve be separated stat wise? It should help out quite a bit if they're going to need things to the ground again.

5. Has the customization system been improved?

6.how will progression in the game work? We all know they tweaked it around so many times that I don't think they knew how they wanted it to play out exactly, I hope that's resolved in this game.

7.how will exotics play out? I thought they were given out to easily considering it was hyped up in the original to be the hardest weapons to earn.

8. Will bosses be difficult by bullet sponge or will bungie try making them difficult by how they act towards a player/s? I'd love to see them act different depending on the scenarios a player use vs it. I disposed spending twenty minutes just wiggling down a bosses health bar.

9. How will currency system work? Will there be trading? Are we going to have to get used to the system changing various times like the last game? Can we auction stuff off?
10.space battles?

Yes, I am looking forward to it, but I'll reserve judgement considering how badly they buggered up the first installment.

I was already interested in this game, and the fact that Blizzard will be involved just makes me want to buy it even more. If I do, it will, of course, be the PC mustard race version.

"It's a complicated typology". Well, I'll wait and see how their peer to peer netcode handles things, seeing how hard of a time certain games have handling just 4 players per match...

EDIT: just watched a PS4 gameplay video. Looks like a generic shooter with sub-par graphics and MEA MP tier banter. Eh, will probably sit that one out unless the gameplay turns out to be absolutely amazing.

Raids should have a match making system like normal strikes. That was perhaps one of the biggest faults Destiny had. The end game content was essentially locked for most people.

I'm glad I got the entire thing for free (Xbox gold game sharing with friends). I've heard people say it was like 140$+ to have everything if you bought it soon as they were available. I would've figured the season pass would've been enough but guess not. Hopefully they don't do that but I think I've already heard they have two expansions already planned so I doubt it.

I am so chuffed that a semblance of shoulder charge survived! I still can't get the hang of Hunter jumping, but I will give the class a try, and if I find I barely spend time with it then I will make another titan (~35 h for hunter in destiny but >1400 h with titan )

Hope to try the warlock class at some point today. I like it so far, though it sucks not having my speedy titan boots and favourite guns.

Tried a couple of matches on control with mixed success. Did better once I started getting used to the map and my character. The strike and opening mission were fun. The music and atmosphere are really good, and the pewpew feels solid.

I was under no illusion I'd be getting it after the amount of time I put in the first game, so I'm pleased that it is both familiar but different.

I'm liking the beta. It's much smaller compared to D1 beta but pvp seems much improved to me. Will probably still take some getting used to with the new weapon setup.
