So, I've mentioned my apprehension because of my issues with my back, but to now make matters even worse is that my housing cooperative has decided that the pipes in all apartments have to be re-lined, which will take about 2 weeks and I won't be able to live at home during that time. Estimated time they will do this? They will start mid October, right around the time the game is likely released. Fuck my life lol.

Hm ... unfortunate. But, hey, I don't plan to pre-order nor buy it on day one. So, you won't be all alone.

Why, just why can these games never be released in summer when I'm on vacation??? I think the justification is that a lot of people are out traveling or vacationing, so they're likely not spending a lot of time being at home. When you think about it for kids, their parents probably have them in some kind of summer daycare program or with their relatives. With parents, they're still working, and if they're not then they are vacationing elsewhere. In both instances, nobody is playing any games or buying that many of them. It sucks sometimes, since it definitely makes the summer periods more boring for game releases, but it does make some sense.

Wait...a video about DA, or something unrelated? A DA video of... something, but no new gameplay. He's really stretching that thing as far as he can. I'm pretty sure he did a video with like 3 other dudes talking in part about DATV, and what he felt about the game. Spoiler alert : overall pleasantly surprised as he wasn't a fan, BUT he didn't get to play the game at all.

I'll may have to make some works at home soon too, but luckily I can keep the gaming room as it is (not so lucky for bathroom and bedroom )

Not a whole lot in there we hadn't read in the articles, but it was still kind of nice to watch the developers talking about it. There are a couple spoilers for what happens after the gameplay reveal (which I had already found out previously) in case anyone is trying to avoid those.

This video/interview was basically the baseline for a lot of the articles they made.
Based on how Corinne was talking about them, I think Treviso and Minrathous might be at least decent-sized cities.

Oooo, so 9:10 onwards for about a minute and half, John Epler is talking about companions being a part of factions, and when the time comes, those factions will help you if you help them. Loving that they're bringing that back from Origins. We may not be some big organisation like the inquisition, but going around helping people gets alliances, and even if they're not "joining" you like some big force, they'll be there to help for the big fight in the end. Love that.
Though difference being it seems to be carried by the member of each faction that are your companions, so I wonder if completing each companion's big companion quest (bar Harding) will be something that benefits their faction. I'm assuming Harding, not part of the 6 available factions for Rook, will of course have the Inquisitor and whoever the Inquisitor can bring.

A few of tidbits from today's video...Companions: "They have friendships, they have rivalries..." "You're not just pulling together a bunch of people who will do whatever you say." Factions:"We wanted to build these factions that do want to help you, but have realistic challenges, problems in front of them (not fetch quests). So narratively, you help them with their problems, they will help you with yours when the time comes." The Non-Linear, Explorable Regions:"Some of our apex battles (can be found there). There's some truly terrifying enemies you're going to encounter when you're left to your own means to kind of explore these larger areas." NPCs:"You're not going to find NPCs that look alike in this game." Dense populations in cities. Spoilers:The World: "What does it look like, especially when the gods are out in the world and raw magic is seeping back out from the Fade."
The Lighthouse: "You're going to journey out from the Lighthouse into an area of the Fade known as the Crossroads, which if full of mysteries, exploration, branching paths. And you'll take Eluvians to the far corners of northern Thedas."
Solas: "(Through the games) Magic has become more and more present, and part of that is because Solas has been slowly preparing this ritual for longer than anyone in the Dragon Age universe is really aware of, but also just going into these spaces where magic is by definition, and by the lore, much, much more present."
