I’d give my left t1t for a video showing *all* armor options. Fashion is the true endgame, isn’t it? ^^
One thing I learned from the Morti review not just the armor sets can be swapped but items like belts cause they are a ummmm how to say it accessory item and maybe a couple other items have their own color due to faction say your wearing crow armor and you put on a veil jumper belt its orange, not as good as tinting but its something.

I can never understand how some people can express statements like, "You didn't actually like the game. Stop lying to your audience. You're just saying nice things because they let you get a review code and/or let you go to the preview event."
Like god-fucking-forbid someone likes a game that you don't (hell, even vice-versa). Opinions are subjective things. This shit ain't hard to understand.

Funny how there's only 3 major negative reviews compared to the dozens of positive ones but people flocking to them like flies to honey lmao
There were some reasonable complaints in the negative ones or at least ones that I can respect, but complaining about combat becoming stale sounds like a skill issue when there's no limit to respecialization and a lot of possible builds through gearing alone.
IDK about you guys but I stared at Path of Exile's tree for hours (without looking up guides) so I'm probably doomed in terms of spending dozens of hours just staring at the class tree figuring out builds, especially when I include companions in the math.

Accessories are visible?
What he showed was a veil jumper belt from the wardrobe and put it on a Warden armor and it turned orange. I will have to rewatch the review but he showed it as what he discovered during play.

I didn’t see that (just something about color palettes and not individual parts).
Really tho, I just wanna look as cool as my companions. Here’s hoping!

I’m happy we’re getting a lot of armor options + a transmog system, don’t get me wrong, but I haven’t seen one cute mage outfit yet, to be totally honest (I mean, I like the Crows, but it’s well, very Crows-looking for a non-Crow Rook). It’s just all very… sorta frumpy, ill-fitting and shapeless and unfeminine, really.
Worst case scenario, I’ll do the generic purple Shadow Dragon look we see in most of the game’s promo material. But I’m hoping we’ll get some good-looking stuff!
Did you see that one (it's rank 4 Lords Of Fortune outfit, apparently)?

I'm reporting from the wild. It's getting increasingly difficult to avoid spoilers or indeed mentions of the critic scores. Doubtful I'll survive unscathed until Friday*. My Youtube recommendations are all full of DA:Veilguard and the USA election. Send help please.
*I'm waiting for Friday so I can have a look of the land myself on Thursday.

I knew there'd be annoying discourse about the game and that there'd be one review that would be the main character of the day (didn't expect it to be MrMattyPlays or like THAT!) but anyway...
I don't care if people think some reviews are too negative.
Nor if they're too positive.
I've seen some outlets, whose perspective on games I usually end up agreeing with, loving the game. That's good enough for Mr anyway.
I'm playing as of Thursday. As unlikely as it is, I could end up disliking it. Indeed. But my guess is I'll at least enjoy it!
I'm very sure I'm not alone here at all, but we're making up our own minds on it very soon.

Liked for your resiliency in Path of Exile xD
Feel of combat is different to how many builds you can make though. For example if you just spam a few buttons without much thought during combat then that may get dull for some people regardless of whether you can swap one skill out for another

I respect negative reviews of this game, but the ongoing meltdown at DAV Steam forum is so hilarious.
People there are so mad about the fact that most reviewers like the game. They tried to put "LGBTQ+" tag on DAV store page, thinking that the tag would discourage potential buyers.
Well, they did succeed about the tag, only to find out that the game is now #3 on the best selling chart (yesterday was #4).

Steam forums are less regulated than 4 chan
The number 3 on the best selling chart doesn't say anything considering it's just ahead of recent powerhouses Factorio, a Red Dead Redemption rerelease, another Factorio, sons of the forest, and an NBA2k that everyone bought over a month ago :S

We have any idea from the devs or other sources when in the day the steam version will unlock? I have no idea when they usually do on there. Been a while since I grabbed a game on release like this on steam.

Steam store refreshes at 10am PST I think IIRC. Most games release then but some games release at different times. Veilguard is apparently 9am PST release I think? So even if the steam release is at a different time, it'd only be an hour different.

I hear it's a simultaneous global release, so it should happen at the same time on all platforms. Haven't heard of a delay on any platform.

Watched like 3 reviews and they were pretty fair and all, but now I'm like, I'm good. I'll play and come to my own conclusions soon enough. We're so close to launch, and the things about Veilguard that make me kinda nervous are still largely the same:
1- The choice of art style. Probably the most polarizing aspect of the game, still. I hope it's one of those things you get used to / grows on you as you play... but, yeah. No bueno. It goes beyond just the character stylization, but even things like the UI (which, turns out isn't as customizable as I thought) and even the armors, they're kinda all over the fugging place, no rhyme or reason... I saw at least two or three armors (new to me from the reviews) that got me like, what were they thinking? Can a person honestly look at those and think "Dragon Age"? They don't scream DA, they don't even whisper DA, but some of these modern Fortnite and shooter games, with 12 year-olds high on Adderal running about in silly costumes / skins. I mean, come the F on... 😩
2- The overkill visual effects. I've talked about it plenty. It was mentioned in two of the reviews I watched, particularly the big-ass obnoxious diamond-shaped AoE from detonating combos. To the point you can't see what's going on. Again, why? You're cheapening your visuals with those, that's all it's doing. Not customizable, either.
3- The tone. I'm getting MEA flashbacks, and the Companions reveal trailer flashbacks. Again, with the silly Backyardigans sh*t, just friends going on an adventure, hugging griffons, playing rock-paper-scissors with a skeleton, where's my Adderal, must snort HURRAY! (kill me now). Best news I've gotten today: Mike Gamble tweeted that the next Mass Effect will have the same mature tone of the original trilogy. I love me some Mike Gamble. He seems like a really cool dude.
Aaand... that's it! I don't think I've made a 'Meteor' gif for our Daily Mage skill ovulation posts, I'll see if I can post one later today. We're so close now!!! 🙌

BioWare does seem to attract drama like flies on crap. Thankfully there's an underlying good game by accounts.
My main issue with the drama is consistency.
Anthem gets 5.9 - Look at the reviews! It's garbage! Veilguard gets 8.3 - Look at the paid for reviews!
If reviews are paid for, did EA just forget to pay up when Anthem launched?
