Completely random but my Veilguard pre-load on Xbox Series X just got a 1.57GB update, a friend of mine who also pre-ordered checked her console and found hers had a much larger 45.95GB update waiting.
Very odd.
Not entirely Day One patches are a thing course I am a bit surprised that the Day One patch is earlier then Day One but if that is the case then this is a bit on the gratifying side since those who did pre load it can be assured that the game is going to be ENTIRELY ready for them and they don't have to wait for the Day One patch...unless there is still a Day One Patch on Day One.

Heh They really did take a lot of inspiration from The Game That Shall Not Be Named. That cosmetic system looks right out of Hogwarts Legacy. The combat has a lot of the same visual cues. The UI art has similarities.
To think of all those pro-woke activists that were boycotting it and cancelling its players at the time... I am glad Hogwarts' good aspects are being absorbed by the industry.

Hmmmm?? looking at the wardrobe pictures above I noticed the lock icons which made me think about the CC for the three choices from DAI I remember a lock icon on Dorin and Iron bull could that mean a some point they will show up in not this game but a future game?
Oops think I posted this in the wrong spot Mods feel free to move it.
Really hope my Shadow Dragon Rook can wear/ transmog Crow armor. I don't think this shouldn't not be a thing but the Crow armor I have seen in the game, at least some of it, is causing me to...borrow a phrase...ovulate.

I am not sure that I will want to play action-based DATV more than once. The thought of trudging through the twitch combat more than once likely does not overcome my incremental joy of a second playthrough. I prefer a more leisurely paced game like DAO or BG3, but those seem to be a rarity now.
I really liked Origins combat because it wasn't completely turn-based. I don't think I'd ever like realistic turn-based system as in BG3. I tried to get into that game really hard but couldn't. The combat was so slow and without the worldbuilding like Thedas, there's no backing up that could help me endure the gameplay. Doesn't seem to be the case for Persona and Civilization though. I love their turn-based systems. So it has to be the gripe with BG3 style turn-based gameplay.

Kala Elizabeth @kalaelizabeth Rook can wear light, medium and heavy armors for both regular and casual wear. There are no faction restrictions

which answers my second question since while I look Crow armor I think my favorite is the mage stuff I've seen. The rogue looks descent but pretty bog standard for DA rogues. The mage, if I'm getting it right, perfect combo of bad ass and practical.

I'm surprised they allowed this much freedom, but... glad they did.
(Also, we all know the Lord of Fortune gear is the best )

I’m happy we’re getting a lot of armor options + a transmog system, don’t get me wrong, but I haven’t seen one cute mage outfit yet, to be totally honest (I mean, I like the Crows, but it’s well, very Crows-looking for a non-Crow Rook). It’s just all very… sorta frumpy, ill-fitting and shapeless and unfeminine, really.
Worst case scenario, I’ll do the generic purple Shadow Dragon look we see in most of the game’s promo material. But I’m hoping we’ll get some good-looking stuff!

Did you see that one (it's rank 4 Lords Of Fortune outfit, apparently)?
I’d give my left t1t for a video showing *all* armor options. Fashion is the true endgame, isn’t it? ^^
One thing I learned from the Morti review not just the armor sets can be swapped but items like belts cause they are a ummmm how to say it accessory item and maybe a couple other items have their own color due to faction say your wearing crow armor and you put on a veil jumper belt its orange, not as good as tinting but its something.
