Hack and defend is ok when the environment gives you some kind of useful cover. Many times though they come from every direction and no cover but the object you're defending. Those times I try to survive with flashbangs left and right but they tend to be so many that they manage to destroy the objective anyway.

So that annoying bug is still in the game, man this game makes me wish there is a easier way to report bugs on console...I hope Ubisoft is aware of it and is going to fix it it is one of those really niggling issues that makes me want to...scream...literally. Anyways though it also kept me up late so I got nearly 2 hours in. And well I did a fair bit last night. Finally tracking down some of these optional investigations out in the Open World. On the first thing tracked down the answer to why no one checked in on Auroa after the blackout...because it was apparently normal...ok then. I then did an Elite Faction Mission, blowing up more servers which was actually quite fun, went to an area where apparently I missed something so I got a chance to pick it up...and that led to a bit of a running firefight. THEN I tried to find a new investigation, and well that almost led me to completing the Silverback mission. And there was a faction mission down there too. I got into a MASSIVE firefight on the surface and then running around...gave up, way too many wolves to mess with. Then came the glitch bit, tracked down 'Peter Miles's ambition' to the AIA in Infinity... and well the glitch led me to falling off a roof, and then I went back and all ramboed the rest of the area in a pique of rage...which worked out. I killed the people and got the info I wanted. So despite my displeasure with the bugs another minor issue of mine has been answered. There is once again a nice undercurrent backstory being told via he collectibles...much like Ricky Sandoval had a story in the Kingslayer files...one of dissolution and wanting to help, which then was paid off by him blowing up the embassy.
Now the investigations are apparently connecting to themselves. I have no idea where this is going yet but it seems like Peter Miles and Senator Lomax are personal friends. In the conclusion section it mentioned how Miles has political ambitions which brings up a whole lot of interesting motivations to the surface. I mean I thought everyone was just interested in taking the drones, and maybe they still are, but what if this were a revenge mission pure and simple? It'd be funny if since everyone on Auroa has hand wringing supreme on their minds about their mistakes if the outside forces who brought this conflict are just interested in petty and base revenge. The mind boggles.

So that was a disaster...and honestly if this game continues to pull the crap it did last night I might put it aside for a really, really, long time. Though it started off annoyingly yet interestingly enough. The first round of faction missions took me back to the Sinking Country Province. Destroying radio antennas. It was annoying because the daily reset happened just as I was going to start doing them...as an aside I suppose I shouldn't ever do the faction missions that close to it, just find a side mission or book keeping to do...something...anything! IDK But after that it was a trip down memory lane, wanted to start doing the EFM 'A Polite Conversation'...which is always an interesting twist on things and I happen to like them...despite how finicky they were, and this one was just...Murphy's law you know? So the first bit went fine. I actually did get a little lucky here. It took me back to the armory that I had trouble with when I was playing the demo but then did much better when I came back for the main game and did much better. There was a Sentinel goon with the info I needed right on the outskirts, so I got it and went on my merry way leaving an alerted base in my wake. Then the trouble started. I was quite surprised, pleasently, that it took me to Radar Station 1 which was an area I actually was surprised to discover I have not been back to since the Demo. This is the kind of stuff I appreciate in the Faction Missions. But well first attempt apparently we had an invisible non rendering generator that wasn't loading in properly...and I killed the target. Second attempt the generator was there then I blew myself up with my own rifle grenade. Third attempt no generator but I killed the target again when the prompt clearly said knock out. Which is just atrocious game design. Then I gave up on it but the next mission 'the bug' happened, fortunately I did not have to kill myself this time. The good news is I finished off on the Skell dam, which is an area I was eager for. Good sniping, and I got the Jack of all Guns perk with a shotty...god those things feel...wrong.

So might be taking a mini break from this game. Spent roughly twenty minutes looking for the guy I needed intel for the next EFM...at a small drone station... and didn't find a single guy, despite a plethora of civvies that could have given me it.
On the bright side though nothing else major happened. I think i was able to squeeze in two more missions. One of them took me to the Auroa Data Farm...that cool arse place where that one main mission was. Always a treat to revisit SOME areas.

So I'm baaccckk. Anyways didn't do too much just getting back into the swing of it. Got through two of the EFMs. This time out I was able to find the information on the medical transport...and I stole it quite easily. Actually probably the easiest EFM ever. They did corner me for a second in one of the buildings in the residential complex but I was able to work my way through to the roof...and it was all over. Dropped sniper rounds and grenades down on the people below.
The next mission, locating a doctor for the outcasts...you'd think the Homesteaders would be needing the Doctors. Bit more frustrating because I was trying to rush through it, but it was fun early on since I discovered while the Sentinel soldiers do disspear at 600 + meters...drones and turrets don't. Lots of sniping followed and fortunatele they didn't move while I shot them. The actual area of the doctor was Omega Area 02. And there was a lot...of people and drones there. They killed me a few times. So I had to be patient...and it worked out.

Take out the gateguards, then the radio op, Malphas then I move in if they aren't alerted by now. If alerted then I draw some of them out and finish the little tank drone with EMP mk 2 and some 9 mm up its bum. The truck we had to steal from the cold war base on the Island I first did sneaky-beaky, killed all the Sentinels only to have the damn truck bug out. No way of getting into the drivers seat. Had to restart and since it was late I decided to just rush into the base and jump into the truck and get the hell out of Dodge! Well I did sneak up from below. Freed the prisoner but then I got in the truck and drove off. Ran over some Sentinels out of the gates. Past the checkpoint like a cannonball (well mayby not) but had to stop at one point and have a firefight with three pursuing vehicles. One of the shottys got really close and almost one-shot me but in the end I prevailed!.

Well shit... ??? Anyways onto doing a side mission 'A Sane New World'. Quite an interesting set up actually. Apparently went to this really crazy psych ward in Inifinity Province where the Doctor just might be more insane then any of the inmates! There was one of them though who started acting like a robot in...everything really...thought they were a robot...so I decided to kill them to see if I got the Civillian Killed warning...I did. I also tried to swim across a sort of moat area in the Skell Security Office when I got there and then had to climb out the other side. But it wouldn't let me at first so I had to go swim way down the other side. It is actually shocking how big that little area is. Got into a bit of a fight but then retreated when I found the information and ended up rolling my buggy and getting myself killed thne killed by a Wolf Patrol. Found the guy and he told me I needed to erase him from the Sentinel Database...so I have to go into a Wolf base undetected. Oh this should be fun.

I love being a Sharpshooter so much. I love being a Sharpshooter so much. You shoot people through walls, then cackle a lot, I love being a Sharpshooter so much.
So I actually got FOUR things done last night. Granted gave myself extra time to play but yeah. I kicked butt. First one took me awhile with No Sane World. Had to sneak in and out of a Wolf Base undetected...which is about as hard as it sounds. Took me about four tries and it was annoying how inconsistent it was, sometimes it seemed like it was just the alarm being set off sometimes it seemed like it was when I was seen...and sometimes it semeed like it was just while I was being hunted. And then I kind of got a little bit of a warning when I finally did get it, but I was able to snipe all the Wolves from a distance or use the Synch shot drones....and then I played chicken with the drone until I got it. Then I escaped and then went back in so I could loot all the things and blow up the drone. It was fun.
Next on the list, Extrajudial Revenge. I was right that it was an assassination mission and an EFM so I wanted to run it. On the way the person I got the intel from also gave me the location of a hit squad. I got to the location with the sentinel commander...and realized I didn't have any synch shot drones...but then I noticed my AP round meter was full so I equipped it...and hit the guy through the wall...love when Ican do that.
Getting that squad was frustrating because it took a while to find them, but I gunned them down.
Finished off by getting my revenge on Radar Station 01. Started off with some sniping, found the genny...and then I grenaded it from a distance which encouraged me to clear out the rest of the hostiles running and gunning.
I am starting to get annoyed at just how grindy the Tiered loot is getting and also the FM...well mainly the FM. Did two missions last night and didn't adfance a single tier. Most annoying. I was hoping they'd fix the loot before the raid, but ah well.

So lets see here I actually was able to get two of the faction tiers unlocked last night. Did both of the EFMs last night, including Anexation for the Outcasts and I think maybe another round of Extrajudicial revenge. Yeah that was it for the Outcasts.
Then stole a truck and rescued a prisoner real fast.
The truck stealing is always fun little missions. I cleared out some of the area, area I was already, so I was going through and just cleared out the area around the thing...easy peasy, just enough so I wouldn't be seen stealing the truck. But of course I was spotted on the road...and then I drove the truck up a tree. With them following me. Got out, grenaded one vehicle and the other killed the drive and the passenger, then knocked the truck off with the second buggy before turning it in.

Had fun with a behemoth on extreme today. Snuck up from behind, EMPed it and emptied a clip from the G36 on the weak spot. While I was reloading it got its bearings back and I ran like Forrest Gump! The rest of the fight was me taking potshots with the M82 (with +damaged to drones) and making sure it couldn't pinpoint my location. Fun game of hide and seek.

So grinding more faction missions for everyone, another case of Extrajudicial revenge.
This time it didn't go as well. I ended up raising the alarm but fortunately the guy was obliging enough to come chase me in the woods which gave me a rather nice follow up shot.
And I still haven't cleared out Anderson Farm yet. Dark Ages was there but I was getting tired so I did the mission, but still haven't found the credits.

So tried out the raid...and it didn't go too well at all. I mean had a bit of fun with the second group and things were seemingly going pretty good....and then the actual Titan fight...it seems to have a shield or something? Then the group dissolved and I was kicked back out to having to look for intel which then led to me having a constant death loop...it was pretty frustrating.
I should've figured that 'the Arrow' was someone's main base...and it ended up being Flycatcher's. Locked behind a coded door, had to be pretty even about going through the area, did it pretty sneakily...until the end. But since I found the code as soon as I opened the door there was Flycatcher glitching out running into said door...and well I put a burst into him with my P90. Which Flycatcher's P90 is one of the best guns in the game it seems...it has a single shot mode! I was actually surprised because it seems like the Mk.48 (an LMG) does not actually do the damage of a P90 with a larger clip size and larger bullets...but then it occured to me...ROF. And it does have a pretty decent clip size, but combine this with the High Velocity armor piercing rounds and this gun is so much better then either of the two other bosses special weapons.
Anyways also did Silverback and that was a cool little base, kind of looked like a missle silo but I don't think it was... I was actually able to set a bit of an ambush for a lot of the Wolves by the generator and was able to kill off waves of them coming to me. It was fun having to crawl up to him on the catwalks, a bit of a fun little mission overall.
I do not like that the battlerewards reset, but ah well.

The Titan does have a butt shield but it is dispatched fairly quickley. if you have a team that communicates and knows how to focus fire Baal can be taken down in a matter of seconds actually. Not speaking from personal experience yet though. I do like the battle rewards reset in a way because know I can unlock several tiers in one day. I was at 43 last chapter because I started to late with the faction missions but needed over 500 every day to advance.

Shame is the only thing that even looks worth it is the 553 shorty for this battle rewards system. Ah well it is actually kind of good with me thinking about wrapping up the game soon anyways. In that vein though I did...I think two missions last night? The latest faction mission for the Homesteaders 'rescuing' Doctor Ballard. Bit frustrating because when I...failed it...twice it reset me all the way to the beginning of clearing out the base. First time Ballard died second time seems the Wolves that come for you can really pack a punch. But the final time I did it it was rather hillarious because I had killed a civvie earlier and there was TWO of them that were just cowering and flailing about right in front of me as I got into a massive fire fight with Sentinel soldiers, had quite the choke point for them but they just would NOT move. They made it through unscathed somehow and it was just pretty amusing in hindsight. Also really love the Flycatcher P90 since it can punch through the heavy armor of the Heavies. Second mission, was just Home Invasion...really short mission.

So tedious side mission ever. A New Perspective. Really had to go use a drone to peak through some pillars to see the new one and where they were leading to.
Was so annoying. But actually led to a pretty interesting potential world revelation at the end of the mission so there was that. Took out my frustrations by doing like three faction missions in a row very quickly, though one of them was at the place I was going to for the end of ANP.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I have that side mission. Check on it later tonight after work. For my own part I got my chapka today for doing the russian Connection mission. I don't recall the missions name right now. Then weapons of revenge and am set to finish Critical mass for the Stoner blueprint after work. Now that they haver decided to give out chapter one and two battle rewards to every player I don't think i will do to many faction missions until chapter three when hopefully the bugs are ironed out.
