Baldur's Gate III - Spoiler Edition (please read updated OP)

I hope that they don't count for the 8 companions, since I was really looking forward for Helia. And a lot of people want to see Halsin as a companion too. Plus, they already were companions in two games, so I had hope for more fresh blood. Basically the same argument, people have with DA and returning characters, you just can't get rid off. And yes, I tended to sent Minsc on suicide missions in BG1, since I wanted Dynaheir as my mage, but normally had no room for Minsc. Imagine my surprise, when he waved at me in Irenicus prison and told me, we were best buddies, adventuring together.
Yes, I thought, they are celestials, still voices did go loud in the Larian forums, that it might mean, we could get aasimar too, since they already have the wings in the game and the race was very requested.

The city does look good. I really hope, we see a lot of Baldurs Gate.

Though I think I might pick it up one more time to try out the Paladin.

They have been working on this for 5 years. It's been that long??? 3 millions tasks...now just down to ten of thousands.

Explained things about Jaheira/Minsc (how they are there, Minsc comic, etc).
Confirms Jaheira is a companion (or enemy) and that Tracy Wiles is her voice actress (she's not the original one).
Minsc doesn't have a voice actor "yet", but they will show people who auditioned for him (that part is actually amusing).

He also brought the prototype of the CE and they don't want Sven to touch it because he's going to break it.  

Do you think Matt Mercer makes a good Minsc? I think he does. Oh yeah, Matt is Minsc in BG3.

Patch 9 is the last big patch before release.

Patch 9 content:
- more faces and hairs + non-binary gender option
- Level 5 with level 3 spells (fireball, chain lighting, counterspell, etc) and everything that goes with it.
- reaction system change (with prompts now if you set it for it per reaction). This is a big change.
- Paladin Devotion and Ancient (no Vengeance  ).
- Command spell has more commands (from 2 to 5)
- New spells like animate dead (zombie can create more zombies sound OP)
- Some UI updates
- Oathbreaker!!!!  but we can't start as it...yet
- Failing performance check = playing awful music 

Someone asked a question about Spirit Guardian a while back. Right now it seems only the Angelic look is in. It might change before release thought and base it on the god (since there are no alignments).

Huh. That's eight months without a major patch. Does that mean Monks aren't making it in until release? I guess it makes sense they'd focus on the release version from now on rather than get distracted by a patch that necessarily won't precede the game by much. The long wait will also help build hype, I suppose.
