Well, assuming that there even is a single player campaign, which is by no means certain, and assuming that the game even has any companions having a smaller world is a total no brainer. These big Bioware semi-open worlds, consisting of huge unlinked areas might look good, but I'm certainly not alone in struggling with burn out and boredom after hours and hours of shlepping over miles of terrain, constantly battling my way through respawning creatures in order to fetch a pristine boar spleen to an NPC in a hut on the other side of the map, and then repeating the same thing fifty thousand times until it becomes a meaningless blur. Give me a tight, relatively linear experience; but a well-crafted linear experience with tonnes of attention to detail within the environment. Make side quests tie in to the main plot in an organic manner - for example, if the main plot is to destroy the Wogarbullie Poohahs, have most of the side quests based around gathering intelligence on the nature of Wogarbullie Poobahs, and discovering weapons to combat them - along with a few more fun, humourous or leftfield quests thrown in... and don't forget those companion quests! *Sigh* I know I'm wasting my time though. I doubt anything will change. The bioware we have now is not the same Bioware who made KOTOR, Mass Effect and DA:O. Those guys have mostly moved on. Instead we have an EA subsidiary, and one whose main goal is too look at what's trendy in other game franchises, and copy it with a view to making as much cash as humanly possible - hence the whole "games as live service" thing that was revealed earlier. I fully expect DA:4 to be a multiplayer-only looter shooter, where players are put into some sort of matchmaking lobby, before being flown to a location on a back of a gryphon, and engage in horde mode combat for points which can be spent on loot - with an option to shortcut the whole process via a cash shop offering powerful pay to win items, and services such as instant level boosts, loot boxes etc. Not that I'm cynical or anything..... Then i am crying.

Not that I'm cynical or anything..... You forget the collectible shit... weeds, pebbles whatever – even in main questline and specialization: collect twenty very rare golden goat shit (area 500 km 2, full of road block) to open the next area/quest/gate/spec/romance...

So, I choose fewer voices and smaller world. As nice as the options of voices is it does feel a bit extravagant and in most cases I ended up using the default voice anyway. As for a smaller world, as long as there's variety it could even be a bonus. I also wouldn't mind cutting down race choices from four to three (maybe even two!) if it made it possible for different origins again. As for companions... it's my favorite part, but I could definitely accept having something like two mages, two rogues, and three warriors and then two "advisors". Romances are honestly one of my favorite parts, so I wouldn't want to lose out on that, but I do feel four options just for straight females was a bit too generous - if 3/3/3 is possible that would be great. You forgot somthing. their no 3/3/3. When you are faire their are 3/3/3/3/3. than you have 15 romance options. I would go for 2/2/2/2/2 10 option. in DAI we have 8 option 1/3/2/1/1. four option, yes with the be one. But what are 3/3/3 for you. i thought of 3 straight women/ 3 straight men/ 3 be. than you can have four as well. Even more i suppose.
It was my bad for thinking stupidly with the numbers, I would at best hope for a 3/3/3/3 situation but I think at the very least everyone should have two options.

Wth are all these extra numbers coming from? gay/straight/bi... and? Asexual? Okay, so that's 4... what is a possible fifth one? o_O The reason why 2/2/2 is the most fair, if we have set sexualities, is because it then gives straight and gay players TWO options -- a monosexual of their same or opposite gender, and a bisexual person that can go either way. We have not had this so far in ANY DA game -- the options have never been equal. IMO it's silly to talk about all these extras when the simplest route has never even been done. DAO only had one gay option, DA2 had an extra for femPC/m, and DAI had two extra for femPC/m.
And they're not going to give fifteen damn romances. That's absurd. They always have some followers who are non-LI. If you include the option for "fling," you run into the problem of people still being annoyed that their limited romances options included a fling, i.e. not a "real" romance. There are quite a few people who are unhappy that their romance with Harding isn't considered to be a real romance that can carry forward.
[edit] And before this is brought up: I don't care what the ME team has or hasn't done. The DA team has always been more inclusive than ME, right from DAO; they are different franchises, with different leads, who have different values.

Out of these options, and knowing BW, definitely fewer romances. I think efforts in their games can be placed elsewhere, and instead of having 5 main mediocre romances. They could have 2 or 3 well written romances, that don't feel tacked on. Very close second would be smaller world size, because BW worlds feel empty every time they try to go for larger world spaces.

straight for women, straight for men, bi, gy, lesbian. I am agree with you. But from 8 to 10 isn't a big jump.

So 2/2/2 is for me 1/1/2/1/1 i suppose. That is fair.
