Dragon Age The Veilguard Criticism Thread (formerly Skepticism Thread) [Spoilers]

In my experience AAA games go on sale pretty quickly for some reason. Which is why buying full price is mostly stupid. Just wait 3-6 months and it's 40% off.
I don't think the sale is indicative of anything per se.

But I don't think the game is much of a financial success. At least I hope not. There should be consequences for releasing such a poorly written game in a beloved franchise. And the only way we'll see change is if it sold poorly. Missing out on big money is the only motivation for EA to do something about current BioWare. Somebody should take a hard look and clean house at the very least. Get real talent back into the company.

I believe BioWare will not get the mercy bullet I've been waiting for since Anthem because Mass Effect is still an IP people are excited about despite Andromeda. So they'd be stupid to kill BioWare before they fuck up this IP too big time and THEN they got nothing left to fall back onto.

Everywhere online people are impatiently waiting for a new Mass Effect. The enthusiasm is a bit less after DAV but mostly like with Elder Scrolls fans, hope keeps the hype alive.

For me both Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls are doomed. No hope left inside of me. But other people are less pessimistic and that will drive sales.

BioWare isn't going anywhere so I'll keep being reminded of that junkie ex living under a bridge I once used to love but now every time I think about them it makes me sad what has become of them...
