I'm currently doing a ME3 run and something just hit me in one of the missions I was doing **SPOILER DONT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE GAME ***************************************** One of the krogans you find dead in the scouting mission with Grunt (Charr) was the same krogan who was reading poetry to the Asari on Illium and if you convince the Asari to give him another chance in ME2 he leaves a poem on his corpse about his unborn child. I have played through ME3 numerous times and this never triggered with me (probably because I didnt go back and speak to the Asari working in the Citadel). But its little details like this that remind me how good and underrated the trilogy is (in particular ME3 which I think often gets unfair criticism for its story) No!? I loved that big lug. Poor guy was pouring his heart and soul to that Asari. He didn't even care if she could only have Asari children. I don't recall coming upon his corpse in ME3. That only happens in the Rachni mission, keep an eye out for one of the small caves that have a Krogan with a datapad nearby or just burn all the Rachni webbing and explore all the side caves.

It has all kinds of details that some may not know about. Yeah I just don't want to be that guy who spoils things for a new player hence the preface of Spoiler to give the reader fair warning

Yeah sad ending, interesting that he was part of aralakh company (the elite army of the Krogan) pretty sure he was just an engineer or Dock worker in ME2 so its interesting he was chosen to be part of this elite unit

Now that I think about it, anyone find it suspicious that Bioware created an origin comic for The Illusive Man where we get that his name is Jack Harper and we see how he served under Ashley Williams grandfather but nope, that was a one off deal for the ME universe writers as it could have expanded both of their backstories in ME3 oh but here is the best part: TIM might have a daughter who served in both the Alliance until she used her biotics to tear an APC in half so she was sent to an Asari Commando unit and then selected for the Andromeda Initiative who also might have known Ashley Williams making for a cross Trilogy connection but it was all for naught, her name is Cora Harper BTW. Bioware magic needs rethinking.

Wouldn't be that far fetched, considering the paranoia of TIM and his resourcefulness he could also have a hand in her biotics but didn't wanted to be too attached for obvious reason (would have made for a fun ME3 information to use against TIM).

I suppose. I'd just let it go. It's not like it matters with him dead and her a galaxy away. Cora was also raised in poverty. Unless there were a plan where TIM had placed a secret mind control something or other in order to make her the head of a new Cerberus. That seems convoluted and I can't think of any reason why him being her father is worth exploring. Just my take. Happy to leave TIM behind. I'd pick Miranda for a new head of Cerberus, if there were to be one. She's not, as I see her, anti-alien. I'd see her wanting to put humanity first without all kinds of creepy experiments on humans. No injecting people with thresher maw venom, no turning them to husks, no torturing innocent kids...stuff like that.

Good points, I don't think a mind control chip would be necessary but, I am currently debating of either making a new Cerberus with Shepard as the head and Miranda his XO (the name got very damaged last round) in my own fanfict but BTW, have you read my attempt at a fanfict?

Originally his name really was going to be James Sanders (I recall speculating on the original BSN boards that he would be a Colonel in the SA) It got changed later, for reasons never explained, but it might have been because of Kahlee Sanders' name.

Still no relation between them. Same with TIM and Cora.

I really like how everything we accused Bioware of, back in the day, about ME3 and, basically, all the anti-consumer practices, they basically confirmed them, in interviews leading up to the LE. - Cut content sold as Day 1 DLC - Leviathan DLC content cut to be released after launch - Impossible deadlines to meet - Entirely different game that was supposed to come out, compared to the one we got All of it. It's beautiful. We already knew about the endings. Like, the forum post, about how Mac Walters came up with the ending on his own, on a napkin, and took no peer review, as posted by *ahem* "Not Patrick Weekes", already confirmed true in "The Final Hour of ME3", with the picture of said napkin on display. I mean, quite the imagination, to not know anything about the game, but also know such specifics about the game. Like I said, it's beautiful.
And we will continue to accuse Bioware of all the shit they pull, because if we don't, nobody will. We're the ones that have to hold them to a standard.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

One thing I will be forever mad is how A/K development was also bullrushed and if anything used to only drive a badly written conflict between Shepard and his time working for/with Cerberus after relegating their appearance to a cameo on the second entry. That discussion needed to happen but rather than do so in a constructive way Bioware writers just planned for one version (much like what happens with Jack greeting you in Grissom Academy). I was mad at how Williams acted in 2 but after choosing neutral dialog options it makes their acting more natural. We also know her character writer left mid ME2 development so the signs that ME3 wasn't gonna be what Bioware told us were in plain sight since ME2, we just chose to ignore them and paid the price attacking each other rather than collectively launch good constructed critics agaisnt Bioware. The sad part is that this is how the next game will be shaped: with how 3 games worth of content will carry over: a rushed game with multiple conflicts behind the scenes. Remind me again how many threads were dropped of side quests in both ME1 and ME2 (Keepers Scan for example) that will likely never be addressed and worse still: the number of characters Bioware will just keep killing off using social media posts and never reference their passing in the games themselves (Emily Wong for example). The alternative game Bioware was planning had good elements but it was clear that there were some aspects that weren't gonna work (like making you choose to save Liara or A/K on Thessia as the conflict occured there and not on the Citadel Coup).
