Look at the address. EA.com. Now even buioware.com leads to this one- DAI site is gone. Hm.

Did a deep dive through Solas's tumblr to see if I had seen that before. I was wrong. Definitely a new logo. shrugsEh, we'll see if it's just a vanity change for the moment or if there's something more tangible coming soon.

At least DA have their short stories and art to fall back on...they are excellent for my theorycrafting and general headcanons lol.
Ruins of Reality is SUPER INTERESTING lore wise.
Mysterious entries appeared of their own accord, describing sacred ruins in Arlathan Forest that guarded an artifact of fabled power.
Does this remind anyone of Sandal's journal? Sandal seems to have a connection to the titans imo.
Strife was looking at it now. On the other side, so was his double. Both transfixed by a statue of elven goddess Ghilan'nain holding a crystal halla figurine, exactly as the journal described.
okay... I need to process this lol. Is this describing how Solas is able to manifest and control his wolfy body double? Something to do with a mysterious artifact in Arlathan forest...

The Next OneAnd here we have the origin story of Warden Evka from TVN's "Hunger"? Also, Spirit of Perseverance. This one's new, right? The Wake
Wait... do they want to say that Lucanis "Demon" Dellamorte (a.k.a. the Crow Mary Sue ) is dead? Good... goooooooood! Minrathous Shadows A Tevinter templar with dispel and what is the "Tevinter you forgot"?
Ruins Of Reality I doubt that the person on the image is an Executor... What are these artifact about? Does someone (Solas?) give tomb-raiding hints to elves?

I’ll read the story when I’m free after work. I do wonder by the ‘kicking off’ piece in the original tweet, if we’d get more.

I like that these short stories revisit some characters from the last book, makes me hopeful for more books in the future.

Read The Wake first. 11/10, will savour for the rest of my days.
The Next One, I suspect, is Evka’s origin story. Decent read. Maybe she’ll be a party member?
Minrathous Shadows was also decent. Was it the Templar who blocked the magister’s magic, or the dealer?
Ruins of Reality was the most interesting. It sounds like time itself is fracturing in Arlathan Forest.

The Next One is also super interesting to me.The monster with two mouths and blighted for a long time is possibly a nod to Ghil's abominations. It makes me wonder, if these monsters have been around for so long, what has kept them or knowledge about them from reaching the surface? Maybe the grey wardens going to their calling helped eradicate them...but there has to be a better reason imo because there aren't many wardens. Maybe ghil has been reactivated somehow.

The story was about the Dalish in Arlathan, but this image doesn't strike me as Dalish. But... maybe the cloak trim. And the bare feet. Maybe the elves of the north are quite a bit different from their southern kin?

also, this reminds me a lot of the elven artifact in DAO.
The elves seem to love their figurines...maybe the elven artifact the humans found in DAO was what revealed the cave to the eluvian ( I can't remember if they found it inside or outside the cave). If it was found inside, maybe taking the artifact even activated the eluvian.

Always happy to see Evka, and also happy to see Wardens being supportive of one another. I always smile at Alistair's stories of the Warden camaraderie. Ancient magics going awry in Arlathan Forest seems to be a continuing theme. Wonder what the artifact that Irelin and Strife took is. I wouldn't be surprised if The Wake ends up being a red herring. Assassin stories and faked deaths go hand in hand. Ooh, templars in Tevinter that have teeth. Never thought I'd see the day, after what Dorian said in DAI and the templars we got to see in Tevinter Nights. Interesting.

Read The Wake first. 11/10, will savour for the rest of my days. In case you are referring to Lucanis... let's just hope it is not a death hoax or that he doesn't do a Leliana. Maybe the grey wardens going to their calling helped eradicate them...but there has to be a better reason imo because there aren't many wardens. Maybe ghil has been reactivated somehow. Maybe there was extensive secret-keeping involved, up to the Wardens stripping these things under so many rugs that nobody in the local Commander-of-the-Grey tier could access that info (thinking about why Ramesh did not know if the phenomenon wasn't exactly new). The story was about the Dalish in Arlathan, but this image doesn't strike me as Dalish. But... maybe the cloak trim. Maybe the elves of the north are quite a bit different from the southern kin? Well, I would not say no if we get some more... different-but-still-badass kinds of Dalish.
Ooh, templars in Tevinter that have teeth. Never thought I'd see the day, after what Dorian said in DAI and the templars we got to see in Tevinter Nights. Interesting.
I found those "enchanted weapons" templars to make more sense than the southern ones, though I always imagined the southern counterpart to rely on gadgets as lot as well. That 40% mag res Knight-Commander armour piece in DAO definitely left an impression. Though I wonder if that guy is actually a southern spy or some creepy cultist? At least I hope so. Did not like it when it was first revealed that "Tevinter has templars too" or the non-andrastian mages mentioning the "lack of templars" in their groups in DAI. Please, Bioware, not everyone in Thedas is a white christian southern andrastian.

I was about to mention this too. The southern mages might have access to more ancient elvhen magic thanks to living in Arlathan forest. Or maybe it was just particular clan? Or maybe this is recently rediscovered gear and magic that they got by following the book? Either way, Ghilan'nain being mentioned again gives me a sense of foreboding. She's been mentioned quite a lot lately. The book leading them to all these Elvhen ruin is suspicious as well. To me, it looks like whoever is writing this is using them. Probably to collect these artifacts. Ghilan'nain is goddess of guides and navigation and that book sure is guiding these 2 to specific locations.

Another thing I'm thinking of is how the concept of time will be handled in the future...because seemingly, the halla figurine was able to manipulate and bend time around it( like an echo). This is reminiscent of what happened at the rift outside Redcliffe in DAI. What is interesting though is that Solas mentions in the game that time magic is new to him.
So I wonder, if the figurine was able to manipulate time with the veil presumably still up, what was it's actual purpose in ancient Elvhenan without the veil? Would everyone just gain 'immortality' when the veil is destroyed? I think the concept of time will be a very interesting aspect of the game to explore and I know it's a hard concept to pull off but it could also be really unique and fascinating to just imagine the implications of malleable time.

You’re assuming the halla was fracturing time, but I think it’s not connected to the figurine at all. If anything, I think the fracture *brought forward* the figurine from the time of Arlathan and changed the Keeper’s book.
It’s something Solas is doing, I’m sure of it.

So yeah, I'm guessing they must have recovered or recreated ancient Arlathan weaponry.

Has the DA site always said this? I feel like it said something about a new hero before, but I don't remember the "one they'll never see coming" part before.
"Thedas needs a new hero; one they'll never see coming. Forge a courageous fellowship to challenge the gathering storm. Friendship, drama, and romance abound as you bring striking individuals together into an extraordinary team. Become the hero and light the beacon of hope in their darkest moments."
