If this is post-war, there’s gonna be trouble. There’s too much toothpaste out of the tube for a starting point that due she canonize multiple decisions, invalidating so many people’s choices. It’s clearly post war, since there are dead Reapers (and destroyed relays/Citadel) in the trailer. The only question is, how far after the war this is.

Would you be interested if the game is a straight sequel to ME3? I still think the whole situation is vague because they didn’t want to give a clear direction to where we’re going, even if they’re liking different tweets about different theories. It’s fine to abandon any hope on the franchise, but it’s not clear what kind of plot NME will have, yet, unless you have additional info.

Damn son... when people told me Mass Effect was on TGA, I was like, ok, that's the remaster teaser and all.
So, I saw Arcturus Station, Sol, the Reapers, Mass Relays and even Liara looking at the N7 emblem. And I was like, OK, maybe the Legendary Edition will include some more conectivity where we play as Liara while she is searching for Shepard.
Then I saw the ship from the concept arts released on N7 Day.
... Mass Effect will return
HOLY SHIT BATMAN!

I wonder what this means in regards to ME3's Ending. You see a destroyed Relay, and in the background of what could probably be Liara walking in the snow, there is a downed Reaper. Perhaps Destroy is the canon ending, or the game is unique depending on which ending you chose in ME3. I mean, it can't be Synthesis, that's for sure, or else Liara would be with glowing eyes. But, we all know how the Catalyst is. It could not be honest in the first place and the Control Ending is limited for a short time, say 500 years and then the Reapers shut down because they "need" the harvest. In all cases, we end up with dead Reapers and a "normal" galaxy, with just a few lines of dialogue explaining one of the endings and how the galaxy dealt with that and what are the consequences of it. That's my theory, at least

That's my theory, at least I don’t see them making two endings viable for the next game and leaving one behind. That’s also the N7 piece of helmet to keep in mind, what relevance does it have for the new game?

The 600 years in the future is a conjecture, though, even if it seems a good possibility. Liara is looking old. It's deffinitely a good chunk in the future, so I'd wager at least 600 years. Liara might look older because this is a 4k close up of a CGI trailer so you get to see more of her facial imperfections. The whole thing just looks like it happens right after the events of ME3 - otherwise why would they show the freshly destroyed relays, the people struggling at comms, and the completely destroyed Citadel? You'd figure after some time people would start to rebuild. You could think that. But unless there's some time travel involved, the Initiative will not be able to go back to that time and Mike Gamble has confirmed that the Initiative and the Andromeda galaxy will be returning in this next ME. The two events can't coincide, unless something different is up. Perhaps the galaxy has been in turmoil over the past 500 years and only now are the Milky Way races cleaning up. Even the Reaper genocidal war would last well into the hundreds of years, so a galactic war, with its numerous contenders, could take well into the hundreds of years. But in this case, the ones that want an Andromeda sequel could be somehow ‘safe’ since I doubt they’d go 600 years in the future and focus completely on the MW. I'm very happy for them. As I said, it won't be what they expect, but they're getting their Andromeda sequel.

From what I saw he just said that the presence of the two galaxies was intentional, but he also said that he could not mean what people think. He’s been intentionally vague, form what I read. On the last bit of your post, if I connect that with the teaser, the only way why it’d be an Andromeda sequel but not the one those fans expect is it Shepard is back as a protagonist, but in Andromeda. Which could in theory suffice to have the new game as a sequel of ME3 in Bioware’s mind. If this is what it’s going to happen, I can see your problem with it...and it’ll generate a lot more hate towards Liara. I like her, even though she’s neither my favorite character or romance (that’s be the long haired woman in your avatar), but she’s already criticized and hated for her role in the trilogy compared to other characters, it won’t help if she’s the only one back.

Indeed but hyperion from what they say was like an ark, cause it had humans, asari, turians, krogans in it I'm not sure though. The Hyperion was almost exclusively human. The only known non-human on board was Lexi, since she is an expert on alien biology and psychology.

A question. Would you be interested if the game is a straight sequel to ME3? I am not interested in anything that will include a new crew. I am not interested. I am also no interested in Andromeda, but the fans should get some closure. I don't think that going back to Andromeda right now is a good idea, but I also don't think that going back to the Milky Way, 600 years or however many, in the future, after the events and setup of ME3 is going to solve anything. The Milky Way, at that point, is of no importance, because there's nothing that you have a vested interest in, other than Liara, if you cared for Liara to begin with. Chances are you did. But Bioware is basically calling Liara as the setting, at this point. They brought her back for Andromeda and they'll bring her back for ME5. And they'll bring her back for ME6, as well, if its up to them. Which, again, is great for the people who loved Liara, just not for me. I still think the whole situation is vague because they didn’t want to give a clear direction to where we’re going, even if they’re liking different tweets about different theories. It’s fine to abandon any hope on the franchise, but it’s not clear what kind of plot NME will have, yet, unless you have additional info. The premise of Milky Way, in the future, where all that matters is Liara, again, is a no go for me. And that is what they showed. I've been saying since last summer, (possibly longer) that, no matter what, Liara would be making a return and that the Andromeda fans may not be getting the Andromeda they want. That is all the info I have. It's not easy getting this stuff.

So DA4 is coming out in 2022 at the very earliest, and the next ME is currently in preproduction. My guess is we won't see this until at least 2024, which feels far too distant to invest in theories based on an intentionally ambiguous clip which could be easily overturned anyway.
That said, I personally hope that the extent of the Andromeda references is just "We were doing Andromeda; now we're doing Milky Way." I didn't play ME:A and have no intention of doing so. Trying to please everyone is likely to just get them in trouble again.

Indeed but hyperion from what they say was like an ark, cause it had humans, asari, turians, krogans in it I'm not sure though. The Hyperion was almost exclusively human. The only known non-human on board was Lexi, since she is an expert on alien biology and psychology. And what the 6th ark is i wonder.
