Got it. Liara to me is interesting mainly because she represents the trilogy side, and to see what part of that/MW they want to bring back. Nothing else, just Liara, I'm afraid. I know you didn't, i just assumed that's the case.. As far as I've been made aware of, Ryder and co. are not off the table, or were not as of the time of my last communication. My question is: With your knowledge of me, is there anything they are working for that will give me hope? I don't think you'll be satisfied by the result, but there is hope, sure. |

That’s intentional, and I think we won’t know the answer for that for a while. Still it seems to me, they are tying them together, which I would actually like maybe even more than just continue in Andromeda (which I love). A connection between the two Is going to be present, but it could lean heavily in favour of one side. Or it can be made in a way that will disappoint both crowd. Someone is bound to get disappointed, and I think it’d be best to reveal it sooner rather then later. With this, I don’t mean right away, but certainly not two years after the teaser, and years of speculation, like the protagonist issue for DA4.

I liked the Orson Welles clip from his infamous War of the Worlds radio broadcast at the start of it, other than that I was greatly underwhelmed by both it and the DA teaser.
If BioWare bring Shepard back though then I'm done with Mass Effect because I'm not playing as a corpse again.

I do hope Liara isn't an integral part of the next game - she's dead in one of my save files and it'd suck to have another Leliana situation (except more egregious since Liara was literally vaporised).

For those who want a transcript of what was said in the trailer (minus some distorted voices that will take audio file manipulation to extract). Here is what I got so far: 0:08 - We know now that in the early years of the 20th century, this world was being watched. (No idea about this) 0:16 - Roger Copy. Eagle Houston, you are go for landing. (Apollo landings) 0:21 - Arcturus Station, unknown vessels approaching. Initiate first contact protocols (First Contact War) 0:27 - Humanity now stands as partners of the galaxy (Humanity meets Citadel Races) 0:32 - Ark 6 is away. Godspeed (Quarian Ark from the Andromeda Initiative) 0:39 - We've got to take down the Dreadnaught0:42 - Engines are going crazy. Abandon ship (image of a Mass relay in the background) 0:47 - Is anyone receiving this? We've lost contact. 0:52 - You're not leaving us all behind (sounds like Liara's goodbye from the beam run in ME3) 0:54 - (Some whispers I cannot decipher) I'm pretty sure that line is from the beginning of ME3, and it's "they're gonna take down that Dreadnaught". Timestamped (although this is Ashley rather than Kaiden); The trailer is basically a short history recap. That's what i think too. The ultimate troll will be a new mass effect and all this on the teaser could mean nothing 😋 |

I don't get the hate for Liara. I love her character. I enjoy her, but if she's a main character in 4 games it's a bit much in my opinion.

You also posted there wouldn't be a remaster, did you not? At the time I was informed, there really was no remaster in the works. Production on it seems to have started somewhere around August/September, not as far back as ... was it March, when Jeff Grub made the announcement? Anyway, I'd say I'm right 50% of the time. A lot of the times I can get fed wrong things intentionally and I need to weed through what seems possible and what doesn't. And I can be wrong in what I weed out or don't. Just because I get told something, doesn't make it true. |

Like, if you see them just pass by in the background, while Liara and co. are communicating with someone from the Initiative. That's a return. Technically. Not saying this is how it's going to happen, though. I wouldn't expect them to have the stage, like they had in Andromeda. |

It could be a million things as far as we know: parallel realities, a completely different galaxy, a Liara look-alike, Liara hunting an N7 operative in Andromeda. I'd like to hear more about who exactly is involved. Casey Hudson is no longer on board, then who exactly is leading the charge ? Mac Walters again ? Amazing writer but not sure he's the best material yet for lead designer. Someone else ? If so, then who ? Bioware is claiming this is a team of veterans after all.
