Near the end we have a Salarian on the left, and a Krogan on the right. Which species is in the middle? It looks like Angara to me. It seems like a human to me. Besides that planet is on the Milky Way, there are dead Reapers on it. I know. I don't think that's a human. It might also be a Drell. But I still think Angaran.

Bioware has recently released an artwork of a mass relay being built, I hope this is what "Ark 6" is about.

Seems to be some confusion about the "6th Ark." The Nexus in MEA is an ark-ship. That means that there are 5 Arks in MEA: Nexus, Hyperion, Leusinia, Natanus, and Paarchero. The 6th Ark, referenced in the trailer, is indeed the Quarian ark, the Keelah Si-yah.
This additionally makes sense because the series of audio clips in the trailer are presented in chronological order, and "Ark 6 is away" is heard before "take down that dreadnought" (the latter is a line from the beginning of ME3).

I am increasingly certain this is Alchera though. It's known to have 3 moons, and we can see them in the trailer. Well, damn.
So, she what? Left some of Shepard behind before? Including a part that had the logo on it, I mean. She found and took our helmet, with our brain in it, so it can't be that.
And I always assumed what was left of our torso was included, although I suppose I could be wrong there. Either way, though, that armor bit doesn't look like its from the chest piece.
Or should we just assume marketing magic for now? lol
Guys, I got ya. The Shepard we played in ME2 was also a clone, while Liara found the real one and ME next shows us what happened then, lol.

This. So we can put the theory of a 6th Ark being Liara et al to rest. For me, it is this simple: >audio clips in order (Ark 6 was the Quarian Ark). >>it's in the Milky Way (Reaper debris on planet). >>>Liara's reaction to the N7 piece (Shepard's N7, not Ryder's). >>>> fresh spinning, not stationary, Mass Relay debris + N7 piece not buried under 600 years of sediment = soon after the war (Liara was close to Shepard and Earth after the crucible surge, so no large travel needed). This leads me to not only believe Andromeda is more or less out of the picture, but that Shepard can be brought back.

One, Liara needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Liara's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Liara"? Damn. Its actually happening isn't it? LOL.

I think most of you guys are way off base.
1. Firstly, I may be wrong here but it looks to me like the Milky Way galaxy is in the foreground, this is the Andromeda galaxy. 2. I think the relic is the Nexus, not the Citadel. This suggests that the Andromeda Initiative failed centuries ago and it's fate is a mystery. 3. The N7 armor is not Shepard's armor, it's probably not even Alex/Ryder's either - it's merely a nod to the previous games and the fate of the AI. 4. BioWare will continue to honor previous player choices and largely leave the fate of the milky way galaxy open to interpretation. 5. Liara is part of a new expedition attempting to make contact with the AI and has been in cryogenic storage for at least 600 years meaning it is at least 600 years after ME3 and likely at least many decades after MEA. 6. Liara may have left the Milky Way galaxy in the immediate aftermath of ME3 and may have any more idea about it's fate than you do.

A lot of people are saying they can't do X or Y because it will upset people, but the reality is Mass Effect can't move forward without upsetting a chunk of the fandom. They just need a good story and go with it. We've all been debating this stuff for years and no one has ever agreed on a path forward. I definitely expect someone to be disappointed by the choice made for the next game. The question is only about how many. I don't think the question should be how many will be disappointed, but rather how good is the next story, so how many will be excited about/happy with it. On a side note: I also find it funny when people try to create two groups of Mass Effect fans, when in reality it's splintered probably way more.

Ha ha. Nice one. But on the off chance you're serious: -Andromeda doesn't have mass relays -What? Neither the Nexus or Citadel are shown - -There's a giant ass dead reaper in the background. This does not fit the synthesis or control endings -Why would she ever care to do that?

Wow, I got genuinely emotional when I heard that Reaper sound, caught me off guard. I guess it sparked a big feeling of nostalgia and made me remember why I love this series so much.
After Andromeda I had more or less closed the book on Mass Effect. A remaster was announced sure, but that's not something I'm interested in after having played the trilogy over and over.
I've always been a proponent of a return of Shepard. 'Shepard is a bloody icon' as Miranda said. To me the story was never done. I hope we'll get more Shepard. Having said that, I doubt we'll get a return, one can dream.

Part of me wonders if EA considers Andromeda to be dead weight as a brand. Also, I imagine the final product will have nothing to do with this trailer. Anyway, give me more space opera!

My main issue with making it the canon romance is that it would be yet another erasure of gay male shepards from the ME team. We weren't allowed romances in ME1 and ME2. We got reduced scenes with Kaidan in ME3 compared to femshep and Steve's romance was very short. In ME:A straight men, straight women and gay women each had two squad romances, and gay men got zero until they patched in Jaal's. It was even impossible for players who play as gay men to get one of the achievements until the Jaal patch. Making it so our Shepard had to be attracted to women (who are still coded as women even if they have tentacles on their heads) would be yet another slap in the face from my perspective. To be clear, I didn’t say making a canon LI would be a good move, or that it won’t generate a controversy...just not something on the ME3 endings’ level. I know, don't worry, I was just pontificating

Liara may have left the Milky Way galaxy in the immediate aftermath of ME3 and may have any more idea about it's fate than you do. 1. Doubt that, the trailer montage seems to imply the Milky Way going from a general shot of it to finally the planet where Liara was walking amongst dead Reapers. 2. What relic are you talking about? 3. Considering Shepard's role in the trilogy i find it is more likely some reference to them. 4. The dead reaper Liara is walking over, plus the other one in the background says otherwise. 5. Why would she need to be in cryogenic sleep just to contact the AI? Asaris have a lifespan of 1000 years. 6. Again doubt that. There are no Reapers in Andromeda.

There is this weird spaceship in the bottom right corner next to the large orange star/sun. Don't know what that is. Other than that, didn't find anything else yet.

So a great story (for me the most important part, no matter who the PC will be), a space setting and great ME combat and I'm probably fine with everything they come up with.
