Nah. Cerberus is done. They got destroyed when Shepard and company attacked their last base before the main battle against the Reapers over Earth. And about Liara we can just accept it, either one like her or not. She is almost as iconic to the series as Shepard and the N7 symbol. Between this and her longevity if this really takes place long after ME3 it makes sense she would be the bridge between the old and new stories Bioware wants to tell. Cerberus is an idea and it shall be shoehorned into Mass effect in some form. Embrace the Suck and accept that Cerberus like biotics will always be a part of Mass Effect. Cerberus isn't an organization or the people behind it. Cerberus is an idea. That idea is not so easily destroyed. Cerberus will rise again to be great like they were in ME2.

Shepard is not the only N7 in the galaxy my man. It literally means nothing. N7 is literally just the logo for the franchise at this point. Why would Liara care to look for it then, let alone be happy when she saw it? I doubt BioWare is just showing us a random N7. It obviously holds meaning beyond the franchise. It most definitely is connected to Shepard. Man. I think you're just seeing what you want to see. Man. It's flowery symbolism. Did Anthem teach you guys anything? taking yet another Bioware trailer at face value. "But Gamble said!" Yea, he said a lot of shit about Anthem too, that turned out to be complete horseshit. Shes happy because seeing the logo triggered memories of happier times. As for her looking for that, in particular? You've no idea if that is why their on that planet or not, you are just assuming. For all we know they could be scavenging for scrap to trade for food during the milky way dark age while society rebuilds, she saw a suit of metal armor and reached down to check it's integrity. That is literally more plausible than "She travelled across the galaxy to this random ass planet with 2 moons to find this one particular thing sitting on top of a dead reaper because somehow it's Shepards armor, even though that is literally impossible given where Shepard was when they were buried in the rubble to begin with". Ya'll need to stop with the Shepard fever. You're all turning into this guy...

Dead reapers are a big thing, so i don't believe that was simply false information but a actual hint like Gamble said. Specially when we consider more people will be exposed to the MET next year.

I've no doubt about that. Dead reapers are a giant neon sign on the vegas strip, in terms of a tease. But to be frank, that is the only certainty we have. Anything else in this trailer could be fluff nonsense that will will not remotely resemble the final product.

I would take even that tweet with a grain of salt because, like so many things Gamble has said, it's also vague af. What was Shinobi wrong about? Its designation? That it's a relay? That it's human? Was he wrong about all of it? Only Gamble knows and he ain't telling.

He said Shinobi's assumptions were wrong, not that it isn't a Mass Relay, because it clearly is a Relay. Gamble even replied to another tweet saying "why is a new Relay being built and where does it lead" with "a most excellent question", pretty much confirming it is a Relay (if you were somehow in doubt).

Cerberus was more akin to a personality cult that only existed because of its charismatic leader TIM. Without him there is no Cerberus. Are you sure he is dead? They already advanced the idea of clones with clone shep. It always seemed odd the illusive man would implant himself with reaper tech like that. But implant it in a clone to see what happens, maybe with some control chip, let him be your front so if it falls apart people think its all gone and done.

Unless Bioware is even dumber than I thought, he is seeing what they wanted him to see. It is almost impossible to conceive that they didn't think having Liara pick up a N7 piece and smile wouldn't equal Shepard is back in probably a majority of the casual fans minds, which means the majority of fans. Its why I've said if they don't bring Shepard back in some capacity this is a huge ass troll on the fanbase. I suspect they were waiting to see fan reactions to make a decision on how back he'd be, from not at all, brain in a jar, back but old, back and in action etc.

You are right in that his response to Shinobu was vague and could mean almost anything, but his most excellent question response is also vague. It does not confirm that it is a relay, he is just saying it is a excellent question. Hypotheticals that will never happen can also be good questions as thought experiments etc.

But can you kill idea? also Can you talk Mac Walters and others within Bioware to not shoehorn Cerberus into Mass Effect? It is like beating a Dead Horse trope. it always happen regardless of what we say. Now that you mention it - Ryder even encountered some Cerberus activity in Andromeda. It's like you can't travel to a new galaxy without bumping into them...

I'm not so sure they're going to just up and wholesale abandon Andromeda. In fact safe money says the mysterious Relay goes to Andromeda. If it does, then it's at least 600 years later, so there is no way Shepard is back, regardless. As for Bioware being dumber than you thought...that depends, did you forget about this?... Is that not also showing people what they wanted them to see?

"It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them." - Casey Hudson
That was pre extended cut by the way.

My theory is the TIM Shepard encounters on the Citadel is a clone. The real TIM is hiding in an unknown location. Maybe a 2nd headquarters for Cerberus no one knows about.

Wrong, it's more... This is what Casey Hudson said before Mass Effect 3 was released. Oh yeah. Well, if we're going to count that one, how about this; " your choices matter" Insert the Rachni Queen choice. I mean, it still sort of changed things, if you saved the queen on Noveria she'll be loyal to you if you save her again. But if it's the "clone queen" then it'll turn on you anyway. While I really never enjoyed the "Oh this person died so it's the same scene replaced by person x", the amount of shit they had to keep track of towards the end was kinda crazy.

Are you sure he is dead? They already advanced the idea of clones with clone shep. It always seemed odd the illusive man would implant himself with reaper tech like that. But implant it in a clone to see what happens, maybe with some control chip, let him be your front so if it falls apart people think its all gone and done. My theory is the TIM Shepard encounters on the Citadel is a clone. The real TIM is hiding in an unknown location. Maybe a 2nd headquarters for Cerberus no one knows about. I doubt it. Apart from TIM, Cerberus were never that intelligent... i.imgur.com/EQApBaz.gif
