I'd argue that ME1 Reapers are absolutely unbeatable. They are too strong, too many, too smart. ME2 and ME3 depowering them was the only option Bioware had. But it still leaves their premise an unworkable one. The Dealers of ME1 were ambush predators. Powerful, but beatable. It was why they relied on a sudden strike on the Citadel so they could decapitate the leadership and seize control of the relay network. Because they COULDN'T take on the whole galaxy in a straight up fight. Also why Sovereign recrutef the Heretics to help in the adsault on the Citadel. Their absolutely ridiculous numbers and ability to attack from dark space get inner that and rendered their entire original plan pointless I agree the the reapers should be massively powerful but few in number. Gives credence that they can't outright win in confrontation.
I would have preferred that the reapers be made out of the dark matter/energy(mass effect fields) stuff. That the reapers were supposed to be combating in the original plot. Harvesting each cycle that ingrates the mass effect fields into their civilization into another SQUID Reaper. The reapers hoping to understand how to stop the dark matter/energy(mass effect fields) spreading by doing this. Only that by the harvesting they corrupted their original programming and devolved into psychopathic murders. Murders with one purpose: eliminate all life. Since due to the corruption they believe its the cause of the dark matter/energy spreading in their weird reapers' minds. Only to find out that to stop it they needed to wipe themselves out. In the end only to realize they -the reapers were causing its spread not organics nor synthetics. May be a more boring plot line but a much more unique story and not so much a RGB ending.
Synthetics in tandem with organics working together to wipe them out -is just so much more cliche`.
But alas we didn't get that plot we got another rage against the machine war travesty.
HOWEVER
I personally like the idea that they harvest the world the fights them the best... And melting the population down into another SQUID Reaper.... NOT a human Galactus though!

I'm not talking about "here", I'm talking about the normies who saw the trailer and didn't put too much thought into it. All my friends are saying "Shepard and the old crew are back" because of the trailer, other communities are saying that, the gaming media is saying that, literally everyone except the specialized fandoms are saying that. And even among us, the ones that do know what's going on, a lot of people aren't thrilled about it. I have yet to see that as a consensus anywhere, though I haven't looked much outside of here. If one accepts that, however, then sure Bioware's to blame for hyping up people unnecessarily. We'll see if further marketing keeps things as ambiguous.

Its the only logical conclusion from the trailer, Liara was either one of your best friends or your love interest. She has no interest in N7s in particular, only 1 particular N7 who was a specter when she met him/her. She didn't just stumble across this piece, the video has her going out of her way and tracking down this specific piece. The crew of her new ship is in the background like this is some private moment. It basically screamed Shepard.
Here we know it is unlikely, pretty much everywhere else there are piles of comments about Shepard and crew are back. And sporadic comments about no does this mean they are abandoning Andromeda.

Anyone processing "broken helmet on frozen planet" = "owner is still alive" have a serious problem with something called logic.

To me it looks like she is simply smiling, because the N7 logo remembers her of Shepard.

It didn't scream Shepard will be back though. The trailer just screamed "after ME3" and including at least "story parts in the Milky Way". So a story acknowledging the reaper war. Most also seem to assume that it's in Andremda's timeline (600 years after the war), so I have no idea why you think the only logical conclusion is Shepard is back. To me it seems that the timeline doesn't fit and most commentary I see looks the same.

Before you get upset about people putting words into your mouth for interpreting your statement wrong maybe consider not insulting people.

'Lots of speculation for everyone'. Is Mac Walters behind the trailer? Stirring everyone up then not delivering seems his style.

I don't see what you see. She walks up there alone and then smiles at her memory. That's all I can make out of that scene. Where do you see an armored figure? In the background, between the Krogan and the Salarian. You mean the figure you're convinced is Peebee? make up your mind bro lol

In the background, between the Krogan and the Salarian. Ah, got what you mean. I still interpret the scene differently, but there it is, where you see a possible Shepard or assume others might. I can see how people don't even see it is possible from this scene. But the fact is the majority of people responding to the video did. There is a reason for that. Bioware would have to be inept beyond measure not to have seen that coming IMO. And once you realize that is what people are seeing, I just go back at it and look at it in a different light and now I can see why that was all they could see.
Whether he comes back or not, whether they even planned to bring him back or not we probably wont know for much longer. All to generate hype. Which is great except when you don't deliver. Not necessarily with Shepard but with a good enough game. Like the people who are hyped for Shepard, they can roll with no Shepard if the next game rocks. But if its just okay and they didn't get Shepard after being hyped for it, lol the backlash will be insane.
