Okay, from this it sounds like you're basically saying that even with the current "blandness" of Bioware's writing some people will play just because of the old crew, while those people wouldn't play if there was a new crew because of how bland Bioware's writing is. That correct? This is the only way I see of connecting your two original claims together. A simplified version of it, yes.

They have to canonize more than the final choice if they want to return to the Milky Way anyway. The fate of entire species depends on it. I don't really have a problem with that. A good amount of games with choices have canon outcomes, which sometimes have little to do with the choices available to us (DX:HR's ending, for instance). I can work with the same thing here for the next game. I'm mostly curious to know the details of what they're going with, and how the galaxy will evolve from that point onwards. Pretty much the same here. Between four possible dead or alive species and three endings, it is inevitable if they want to move on with the story in the Milky Way.

It's weird how many people don't see that. It is not the question of seeing the wrinkles its the confidence that they are supposed to mean hundreds of years have passed. My Ryder has 3 times the crows feet and smile creases she is showing in that image and hes like 24. It very well could be age, and given the tying into Andromeda it is likely. But it could just be a hi-rez depiction by an artist of a smile.

I figured the people who don't care enough wouldn't be posting. They would, if they perceive what they do care about, out of that trailer. People want what they want. It's not going to change.

But then you said it backwards. The issue isn't that they don't care, it's that they care too much. Their caring is distorting their perception. I'm guessing from context that you're talking about Shepard fans again; surely an old Liara is a direct threat to that, which is something they should care about if they weren't being fools.

That's a weird way to use "not caring." They care enough to deny the evidence of their eyes, don't they?

That's a weird way to use "not caring." They care enough to deny the evidence of their eyes, don't they? They don't care about anything else. That is a form of not caring about something. When your field of interest is so narrow that any deviation from it, instantly kills your interest.

I just had a thought, if they are canonising the destroy ending, Shepard could still be alive but they could still also introduce a new protagonist, tasked with finding out what happened to Shepard after the final battle. Liara could be the director/advisor of the entire game. Maybe the reapers decided to save Shepard from the aftermath after they broke free from their thrall and subsequently withdrew their forces, leaving the milky way in shambles in the process. A dark age throughout the milky way follows. Meanwhile, Liara uses her resources to track down Shepard's location, maybe the reapers even brought them some place in Andromeda. The snowy scene in the trailer honestly looks like a reaper graveyard. I mean we already know reapers don't exactly 'die' easily so it is weird that Shep's armour is at the very top of one. Maybe they were trying to bury evidence on this planet or they evolved beyond their purpose and are now working towards goals of their own. That's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with anyway. Part of me wonder if they released this trailer so they could trawl through people's ideas and brainstorm how to continue this franchise...

"The fact that her face can be seen with fine lines of a more mature Matriarch, the years lend themselves to my theory that we're going back to Andromeda but it will be more integrated with the trilogy than previously planned. "
Curious.

Something that i just remembered, peebee said that someday they might be able to travel galaxies with rem tech faster/instantly and have rem tech infused ships. Also vetra said (can't remember what they were talking about), she said "worth two galaxies" at the end of the conversation. Vetra knew it all along

Vetra knew it all along Vetra isn't a scientific genius so whatever she says is irrelevant. And nothing in rem-tech has indicated superior travel speeds. They had access to remnant ships, they weren't anything special. If they poof people back to the MW with rem-tech its a bigger ass pull than building relays.
Ryder in the MW fixing MW problems, they have made some missteps but I really hope they aren't that bad at reading the room.

Nope. Because she had those wrinkle lines on her face before she smiles. I'm 99.9999% sure she is simply old. Graphics have improved so much that accidental wrinkles for a young character (in a CGI trailer nonetheless) is not something that I would consider reasonable, let alone acceptable.

But its hard to know when she starts to smile as her face is covered for so long. Smiles can start in the cheeks, so in theory the smile could be starting before the face is even revealed.

I hardly think BioWare would pay attention to the minute differences in how different people smile in terms of the teaser.
