Andromeda is a better game than ME1. ME1 got dlc. MEA didn't ME1 has the power wheel. MEA doesn't ME1 has the choice to recruit all squadmates or not. MEA doesn't have that choice ME1 can have a squadmate kill another squadmate. MEA doesn't have that. ME1 has a quarian. MEA doesn't have any.

What do these words and word choice mean to you? Because I have seen this sort of terminology a lot online. Always by people who subscribe to the "alpha" male ideology. Be it far right wing nut jobs to sad and pathetic incels that blame their own repugnant personalities on women.
I separate modern connotation and simply rely on the actual meanings of the words used and the context they were used in. Inferring constantly is imverysmart material and I've never been that smart. When I assume people's context, it seems that I usually end up with egg on my face. The fact that Ryder can be a male or female, and is described exactly the same way regardless of gender, informs me that this is a gender-agnostic complaint and your concerns are based on contemporary hot-button subjects rather than the context of this discussion. In other words, leave YOUR real world politics at the door as much as possible, as they are rarely relevant to a discussion that has remained in-world.
So you allow people to manipulate language to behave and act a certain way by ignoring the modern relevance and use of said terminology? This strikes me as incredibly naive and open to manipulation by people who knowingly subvert language by applying modern terminology and understanding of words. With you acting as a convenient lapdog to not only defend said subversion but also validate it by being the "outsider" who supports them. John Oliver has a lovely video going over the concept by showing how Tucker Carlson pushes white supremacist talking points by altering the language to make it less direct and confrontational and how other white supremacist groups are taking notes and altering how they approach expressing their ideology to avoid blow back for their racist ideas.
Alpha Male is a general set of behavior that can applies to all genders. It is just more commonly found in men due to traditional gender roles that still exist. The term was coined because of the misunderstanding of the concept of a wolf pack alpha. Which the person who created that term has sense retracted his idea and found his conclusion to be false. However self centered, egotistical and aggressive ass hats took the term and idea and described themselves as "alpha men" because to them they were the dominate male. This also plays into the incel world were they like to push the idea among themselves that women are only attracted to alpha males. Big, strong, aggressive and handsome men who just want to fuck them and leave them. Which only when the women has been used and is all loose and worthless to said alphas do they actually turn towards those "beta" men for marriage and financial security. Now a days it is called by a more accurate term. Toxic Masculinity.
This forum doesn't exist in a vacuum. People will bring their real world politics into the forum all the time in a thousand ways. You might as well be asking for someone to suddenly stop caring about their pet or loved one. Stuffing your ears full of cotton and ignoring the elephant in the room because you don't want to admit it exists doesn't help. In fact it only hinders as you become a convenient pawn to cover for them when the issues are pointed out.

It has one of the most emotional romances in the series with Jack, and it doesn't even involve sex. It was the one of two times that a video game romance got me in the feels(manly tears may have started to form), the other being romanced Miranda's death in ME3(I love and hate that one).

Andromeda is a better game than ME1. I can agree with you as far as exploration, and biotic combat are concerned. The rest of it not so much. Edit: Thought of another, it had a better inventory system then ME1. I hated that on PC, selling and destroying items took forever with keyboard and mouse. Well at least ME1 had a proper weaponised tank to do the exploration in.

I'm sorry, but she gets a redemption arc why? She has destroyed a lot of property and likely killed a lot of people. I'm sure she's killed many innocent people as well because she casually talks about executing people. Just because she's part of Shepard's team where she may or may not have really helped much gets her a free pass? She is easily the worst squadmate gameplay wise so I never even use her. Just because she does maybe one good thing in her life doesn't change all the crap she did before.
Then her arc in ME3 makes no sense. A girl with that many issues suddenly becomes an upstanding instructor after six months with occasional swearing being her only flaw? The thought of having and trusting a mentally unstable person teaching biotic kids sounds so dangerously dumb to me. Especially since a few pep talks and six months shouldn't be able to heal anyone with her kind of issues. Its even dumber if you have Jack continue to be ruthless and think selfishly. I think all of this is just hand waved with "she was with Shepard so is must be ok."

Or better yet, have the option to leave her on the prison ship when she says Shepard sounds like a *****. Too bad she wasn't an option and Samara was mandatory

Loved Jack. She's my favorite squadmate. Though like others, I disliked her arc in ME3. She should have remained a rebel, not a damn teacher. It doesn't make sense for someone with her temperament.
