Everyone will be just like they were.
Were. Not are. Meaning they will revert to what they used to be?
And I still think it’s very odd that for Solas being so OP, he sure is content to not get anywhere near ‘his’ idol and is instead letting other people manhandle it and do what they want while he watches all while yelling at them to stop.
Almost like reverse psychology. Like he’s waiting for it to be where he wants it. I don’t believe it’s actually his and he’s waiting on the actual owner maybe?

Are there any theories around concerning the idol and the one figure on it lacking it's left arm? I know it's most likely nothing but just for fun and all that.

Well, I just remembered the comics actually let him see pretty much anyone with his magic mirror, even people he has no idea about (not to mention his legions of spirits spying for him all over the Fade), so this whole discussion is pretty pointless. Just another way they godmodded him and made defeating him impossible without ruining the story and/or characters. David and Goliath.
We only have to find his week point his pride. He haven't the time to look for all people, so he take only the importen one. So with the lord of the rings as exemple. the protagonist is Frodo, the inquisitor is Aragorn, the inquisition are the soldiers who follow him and Solas is Sauron.

The Inquisition is completely compromised, full of Solas's spies apparently, and can either be dissolved or made into the Divine's parade poodles at the end of Trespasser. Its involvement will probably be minimal, if any. However, individual characters previously affiliated with Inquisition may appear, most notably Dorian and maybe Varric because he voiced the trailer. If Solas has any plans, they'll probably backfire, that's just what he does. Wouldn't be surprised if DA4's ending is the exact opposite of what he intended - the death of all magic. I agree.
from DAI i only see a view cameos/NPC. Dorian we will 100% seen in Tevinter. Varric, i only see him as connection to the people left of the inquisition, because of the voice over. No Sera, but maybe the red jenny. Cole, i don't know. Vivienne, Leliana, Cassandra, Charter and Harding have to much to do. Josephine a maybe in Antiva and i don't think we will see the iron Bull. I think we will see more of DA2 characters Fenris for exemple or Isabela.
I hope the choices have more Weight. But unfortunately that is not the reality.

I believe there are some in the Crazy Theory thread. I remember there being quite a bit of discussions back when the Dread Wolf Rise teaser released. Mine as always been that it depict Mythal, Solas and a 3rd wheel we don't know about that is probably going to show up in the next game. Also, Solas is a wolf and the 3rd wheel is missing an arm which I just now realized (or maybe not, too much DA theorizing, I forget things). Which means Solas = Fenrir 3rd wheel = Tyr

I know it's most likely nothing but just for fun and all that. yeah the idol's appearance is a constant mystery tbh. If they go the time travel route with DA4 , it could be interesting but maybe also worrying... Also note that Varric had a shard of the idol break off in DA2, so it is also possible that the idol is just really old, and pieces of it have broken off over time. Still, it does make you wonder how it even broke in the first place, considering it was placed on an alter within the primeval thaig that was supposedly untouched for centuries. Oh also the fact that in Tevinter Nights, the idol is only ever described as having two figures, not three, which I find super weird. Is the description a mistake or intentional? We have no idea. But I digress.xD

Whoever or whatever they are, the common theme is people overlooking or not noticing them, which I believe relates to their character. Or they don’t even matter. Lol. But do the missing limbs remind anyone else of Inky post-Trespasser?

Tyr loses his right hand though. Inky his/her left.
I at least hope that the figure on the idol missing it's left arm is significant. That's just to cool a hook to pass up on.

Solas is not attacking anyone outside getting ride of people who are trying to stop him or getting in his way and he doesn't need to be physically there to do that. Red lyrium, Darkspawns, Qunari invasion, monsters infested ruins will always appear more important threats in-game. Corypheus had real armies. Solas plays in the shadows and use people without them knowing. Solas is near omniscient with godlike powers and knowledge on top of it. The only time where it would make sense to pit him in a battle against the protagonist would be after he executed his plan and he is weakened. But nobody knows how, where and when he intend to do what he is planning and I don't see him sharing the info. Basically, "stopping Solas" requires either: - Solas to have an idiot ball, - lots of random luck, - working for Solas for most of the game and doing an "heel turn" at the end - working for an equally powerful entity that can protect you from him and knows as much as him The last one could work with Mythal, but my impression from DAO/DA2/Gaider's comic/etc is that she wanted the Veil down too... And the last two don't have much place for the Inquisitor/Inquisition outside cameos. It’s going to be the first two. That’s what happened last time BioWare made a game with villains this strong. I doubt he will succeed, since that screws up the world for the future. Plus, you know, we’d all be dead then. Well in that game the bads could succeed too even despite their idiot ball, and regardless of whether they did the setting was rendered uninhabitable. So maybe they have Solas nuke Thedas along with all its lore and sail us across the ocean. Dragon Age: Amaranthine. Then they can abandon that setting in favour of a crappy looter MMO, and finally come back to post apocalyptic Thedas like 10 yrs later after that fails.

After 3 years its time for an update. Well Harding and Varric are recruiting the new hero Rook and the Inquisitor is in the game.
To be honest i never believe that Bioware would bring the Inquisitor back especially after the Hawke feedback which was´t that positive. But hey its no shame in saying that i was totally wrong here.

Ok the Inquisitor is back and will likely have a confrontation with Solas which means optional romance dialogues of course. Maybe there is a change that the Inquisitor will interact with Dorian. My point is not all of the DAI romances will make a return (with Cullen and even The Iron Bull i even dare to say that those two will come back) so is the fandom aka you ok with that the Thom Rainier / Blackwall or Sera won´t came to rescue and for extra romance scenes?

Wow! Now isn't THIS a blast from my past. I didn't realize more than three years had gone by since I joined since I think this was one of my early threads. Now to add something of substance: do we have anything more concrete than we'll get to customize the Inky we want and some key decisions? Sorry, cuthbertbeckett, as much information and speculation has been swirling about, I'm finding it hard to keep up. This, however , is a good state of things

To be honest i never believe that Bioware would bring the Inquisitor back especially after the Hawke feedback which was´t that positive. But hey its no shame in saying that i was totally wrong here. If this does mean we customise their appearance for showing up in game (and not just filling out a questionnaire about their gender, class, race, romance, & major decisions) then i hope we can control their dialogue (if any) as i don't really want a repeat of the Hawke situation.

Yeah, another Hawke scenario is one of my two big fears for this game. Really hope even if it’s just for small sections whenever they’re involved we play as them.

The inquisitor get a warm welcome, when saved the world.
