I've only just begun ME1, but have ME2&3 questions. Do we begin the game with access to weapons like the Mattock (for ME2 Soldiers), Harrier (ME3), etc... ? I'd read that DLC, while included, had been worked into the games in different ways. I assumed this meant I'd have to find my Mattock, Harrier, or whatnot in-game, rather than finding them conveniently in my starting inventory. Mattock and blood dragon armor are available on Omega. Once Mordin is recruited, go to the research terminal to look under prototypes. There you will find additional stuff. Going to the hubs in ME2 will offer items for purchase. In ME3, blood dragon armor can be purchased on the presiduim along with other stuff. At the spectre terminal across from Udina's office weapons can be purchased. Here's armor from another video game that can be purchased in ME3

Interesting detail - Containers hit by gun fire now show that they have taken damage. I took cover behind a weapons locker on Luna and a rocket drone hit it. It now looks charred and damaged even after that section of the mission was completed.

I feel like my FemShep isn't walking around like a hulking bruiser anymore, has anyone else noticed this?
Maybe just wishful thinking, but I also think, the female animations are a tad better. I've not finished ME1 at this point and the hulky moves were most obvious in ME2.
ME1 used animations from Jade Empire, so FemShep glided around like Wu the Lotus Blossom. In ME2, she started stomping around with a broken neck and man-spreading. Maybe they fixed this. We can hope, but it seems unlikely.

I see that they haven't changed the weird way Shep's head tracks random things in the ship while walking around lmao.

The camera has been moved slightly so you don’t see Miranda’s ass or FemShep’s breasts during Kasumi’s loyalty quest.
In Thane’s loyalty mission, you can listen to the xenophobic Turian candidate’s entire dialogue without Thane demanding updates every two seconds.
Also, I don’t know if this is a change or was in the original, but there’s friendly fire for the enemies now in ME2. When I was fighting Eclipse on Ilium, a heavy killed a vanguard that got in her line of fire with a rocket to the back. I know this because I saw it in my scope, the vanguard fell forward, and no one in my squad had concusive shot.

Do you perhaps mean Zaeed's loyalty mission and not Kasumi's... or did they change Kasumi's mission so that now you can take a squad member other than Kasumi along with you. Her loyalty mission on Beckenstein used to be just Shepard and her.

They didn't fix the Conrad Verner bug because they addressed it in ME3, This is just one line! There is no reason to not fix the Paragon Bug in ME 2 just for one line which can easy be cut. The correct scene is (galaxy) way more important than this one short line.
I just met Conrad with my paragon Shepard and got so iritated that I punched him. From now on my paragon Shepards won't interact with Conrad at all.

Just got to Omega. Found the Geth Plasma Shotgun, Blood Dragon Armor, Terminus Armor, and the Mattlock at all the shops. Also something called the M-490 Blackstorm? I never had this in the OGs.
Also they added some news stories that were thought to be cut content. Don't know about fixes to the bugged ones though...yet.

The M-490 Blackstorm was part of the Terminus Weapon and Armor DLC pack, probably why you did not see it in the OGs. It's a black hole gun basically, but I always preferred other heavy weapons over it.

Enemy friendly fire with rockets was in the original, but you generally had to have hacked/dominated a nearby enemy to see it, or harass someone with a Combat Drone that is nearby a group. Having it happen naturally like that is rare.

It was pre-order bonus, from GameStop/EB Games I think? It was never released post-launch as a separate DLC. Collector Assault Rifle was a digital exclusive that never made it to consoles. It looked on par with the Avenger and Geth Pulse Rifle though, so it was rarely used, especially once the Mattock was released as DLC.

Huh, I'm pretty sure I preordered my copy of ME2 from GameStop... I think it was the last game that I did pre-order from them. Did I just never redeem the code or something?

- EAX is enabled by default when you have hardware that supports it (no more config tweak necessary). Some of the reverb is a bit too much, though. I only noticed environmental sounds are there, echoes in Council Chambers are absent, but were present in original ME1 with audio fix.

I remember lining up those Blue Suns Centurions with the Rocket Launchers folks on Okeer's Mission. Was pretty awesome, because Korlus used such a tight space.

Did they fix the stasis glitch in ME2? I dunno what you're talking about, but is it something like the insta-kill for stasis on some occasions, like Vasir's Boss Fight or Rocket Drones? If not, anyone knows if that's fixed? Also, is stasis behavior the same as it was or did they use the ME3 version where you can still shoot enemies?

I'm several days behind most of you, just now truly getting into the heart of ME1.
I like the Mako changes, for the most part. It feels lighter and more prone to float, in my opinion. I used to sort of glide off of junps with it. Now, I have to be careful because its pitch controls more like an aircraft than an airborne tank.
The booster is useful and welcome.
I saw a discussion about the controls being different on PC, and there being a toggle for old/new approach. No such thing on PS4. It controls like it always has, and I'm glad for it.
I really mastered the art of targeting distant enemies that were barely a smudge on the horizon. While I enjoyed that and am mildly proud of those skills, the new zoom is great. I love it.
In general, a few NPCs look weird, but overall the game just looks better. Textures load in a timely manner. Lighting is good. I even like the "less frequent, more meaningful" 1 to 30 leveling system. There are a lot of common sense changes, so far.

I only noticed environmental sounds are there, echoes in Council Chambers are absent, but were present in original ME1 with audio fix. I got the echoes in the council chambers. I don't have an actual dedicated sound card, though. I have onboard audio and use SoundBlaster X-Fi MB3 to unlock EAX through software emulation. (I don't think this software is being sold anymore.)

I noticed that enemies have the tendency for some reason to stay behind cover and not move until you literally go behind that wall and then they start to shoot you. A little annoying considering that one bomb to the face can kill you on insanity.
