KOTOR Kinghts of the Old Republic (Remake)

I thought they axed Apeiron for Fallen Order?  

Looks like the Kotor remake is still alive but has switched studios. The article also says it is likely at least 2 years away.

"The highly anticipated remake of the video game Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic has a new developer after a bumpy ride.

The project, formerly in development at Austin, Texas-based Aspyr Media, is now being led by one of Saber Interactive’s Eastern European studios, according to a person familiar with the change who asked not to be identified because the details are private. Both developers are owned by the Swedish company Embracer Group AB, which obliquely referenced the pivot in a public statement last week. A representative for Embracer didn’t immediately have a comment."

Although, that game has been at this stage for a long time and we still don’t know what continent the new dev studio is in, so I guess this has to count as a win..?

Ok, so the game seems to still be in development and the removal of the video was apperantly due to license issues but, development is still having issues:

At this point, I would just like for Saber or Lucasfilm to come out and say either "The game is still in active development" or "Development on the game has been halted, and is cancelled"

Being in limbo is the most frustrating part of the last year ...

Now Saber Interactive is splitting from Embracer and becoming a private company. In regards to Kotor Remake, in one of the replies Jason says "Can't promise it'll actually come out, but yes it's still alive"

I am neither excited nor disinterested for the remake. If it's successful then I hope they finish the trilogy. If the remake is a failure I still have the originals for Xbox, PC CD, Steam, and GOG.

I don't want a remake, I want KOTOR 3.

BG3 showed us that making a sequel to a twenty year old game is not as impossible as it sounds.

True I would love a KOTOR 3 written by Chris Avellone and the original Obsidian Team. Chris Avellone and the original Obsidian team had some interesting ideas for that game. But Chris Avellone has been blacklisted from gaming and the Obsidian of now is not the same from 20 years ago. You know I've read that the Mass Effect Trilogy used ideas BioWare had for a KOTOR 3.
