Dragon Age: Absolution (Netflix Animated Series)

Jackdaw has done a commentary on the trailer on You Tube where he also mentions the meaning behind the ouroborus.

We have discussed possible links between the Lady of the Skies, Razikale and Mythal over on the Crazy Theory thread, so it doesn't surprise me to find this symbol in locations associated with Mythal and Razikale. The whole Avvar lore about reincarnation also seemed to show some sort of crossover between different cultures that strongly associate with the spirit world, as opposed to those influenced by the Chantry.

It is likely that the ring is going to have a symbolic meaning connected with death/rebirth or something similar. What if they are using it to bring back some ancient being?

No, I don't think so. The only thing they share is glowing eyes and not even the same color.

I kind of agree but I think think there is two salient points here.  

1.  Any connection to DA:D doesen't have to be too deep and any character that appears in DA:D from DA:A doesen't have to get a huge focus.  Afteral Ser Michel and Mihiris got bare minimum cameos from Masked Empire to Inquisition and Rhys and Evangeline only were mentioned in the war table.

2.  In this regard Agents of Shield might provide an answer.  While I have never seen it my understanding is AS provided us with sub plots and their own characters which were releated to to the MCU and what was going on but largely served as supplemental material, filling in some of the blanks.  The main action still happens in the MCU movies proper but Agents of Shield answered questions like 'what happened to the cleanup operations for New York.'  Though to this point I do half wonder how much the Disney Plus shows will become relevant to the MCU moves as we release more.

this looks great! already liked the animated movie with cassandra. also this could give hints what characters/companions we could get in the game, right? since it also seem to focus on tevinter. i see the female qunari (rasaan?) and also (maybe?) Vaea. really would like to see those two in the new game.

(btw i like the titel "absolution" even more than "dreadwolf" personally)

Hopefully when this drops i'll still have access to my ex's Netflix account.

I cancelled mine last April. 


There is a few things releasing "this winter" I might want to check on Netflix, so I might resub for the Winter holidays.

I'm quite happy that it's animated and not life-action series.

My only complaints so far is the that the character designs look fairly generic and the Qunari woman is barely taller than a human
