But it's in addition to the metal swinging. Unless I'm missing something - easily possible - you can use the same Bonus Action you'd use for chucking for a melee attack.

My understanding is that you can only use the bonus action for an attack if you're dual-wielding. (Excepting things like Pommel Strike.) Berserker get Frenzied Strike which consume the bonus action for an extra weapon attack, no dual-wielding required. War Cleric can use their bonus action for extra attack as well. Some classes have attack spells that consume it like Rangers/Paladin/Eldritch Knight. Pretty much all the classes can use their bonus action to cause damage in some ways, that's why multiclassing into Thief to get the extra bonus action is so popular.

I'm starting to think that I was seeing some sort of weird bug. I couldn't make the trick work today, and according to the rules it shouldn't have ever worked. Maybe the game somehow thought Karlach was specced into Berserker for a bit?
Now it's highly situational. But still entertaining.

Does anyone know if enemies get a spell DC boost in Tactician? Just got hit with a DC 17 Fear spell from a L6 enemy. Even with an 18 in her primary stat, that shouldn't happen. (That's what I get for not having Counterspell prepped.)

My friend who talked a bit with some of the devs teased me that there would soon be news I'd be excited about (but he said I couldn't tell anyone here), but it's even better than I hoped! |

Xbox deluxe edition arrived today! 4 discs - got it installed and verified cross saves work, although I decided to start a new character anyway. Will be interesting to see how I like playing on console after being on PC.

Physical discs are still a thing? I'm on PC and everything is mostly digital. I know Larian is selling a box set of BG3, but I don't know if the full game is on the disc. BG3 is over 100gb don't know how they can put that on discs. But if I were to buy I'd just keep it as a collector's item.

Looks like another BG3 run end of this year. I've been putting it off because I know Larian Studios is still working on additional content like expanded endings to evil PTs etc along with bug fixes. I just returned after many months away. I'm still only late in Act 1, but the experience is definitely smoother. I suspect this game will be drawing me back at least twice per year for many, many years. |
