Dragon Age: The Veilguard Xbox Showcase Trailer

I liked the Halla quite a bit.
I'm glad griffin are back.
That's about it for Team Hooray.

For years, I feared that BioWare would manage to Saint’s Row this franchise, and it appears my fears may be coming true.

Not that I reall (I could be wrong), but there's nothing lorewise that says they can't exist .

Is it just me or is the audio mix in that trailer atrocious?

 Ehh looks good to me. 

Fenris is dark skinned. Not as dark as Davrin, but he wouldn't really pass for white.

I wasn't expecting them to introduce the companions so soon. But I'll take it.

I'm not digging the overall art style it's looks like the original Fable trilogy.

I mean Fable reboot trailer looks more like a Dragon Age game than the Dragon Age: The Veilguard trailer does.

Maybe I'll get used to it in time, but this doesn't look like a game pre-order or is a day one purchase for me.

Ok so got up, saw it on FB and stuff and wasn't impressed too much. But actually watching it. I like it, not the best thing ever, but good. I clapped.

The bad: no release date...just fall of 2024 which is annoying because I am waiting on a release date before I do x,y,z. Also this virtually confirms a November release date. Like November is winter to me but if they were going to do it any earlier they'd have one, unless it's at the GP reveal.

'RP': I'm sure there is an official reason for it but combined with some of the things in the trailer is a bit alarm bell raising.

LUCANIS?!? he lives, of course he lives. Ugh. And he's a companion...just great.

The audio mixing-

Animations looked dusjointed

The good: the music- really like that song and I want that version of it NOW. Granted it does not exactly scream secret squirel crap/ gray morality, but then the just for one day bit.

The humor- oh no they MCUified DA...purple Hawke says hi. I laughed, it was funny.

Like the cast.

Clapped got chills in places.

That first shot of presumably Minrathous was gorgeous.

Honestly though not the best but should say the DAO marketing campaign was also super cringe...and my least favorite DA...but well regarded in the community. Marketing isn't always indicitive and especially a trailer like this, just flashy way of introducing our companions. No Rook though.
