I like this guy and agree this pretty much sums it up for me. I agree with a few things he said, but I'm sure he's very happy his Edmonton Oilers are in the Stanley Cup Finals. Last time was when they faced my Carolina Hurricanes losing in seven. I was at game 7 when they lost.

Peebee is not a romantic, that's Vetra in MEA cast.
She does become a romantic if you romance her as she by the end wants "all the strings" not just a fling. Romantic, in term of a relationship, means people who are looking for the idealized romance: candle diner, courting, flowers, etc. That's not Peebee style at all, even once she accept the relationship.

Well we never get to explore that post commitment so bit hard to know IMO. And even with the other romances in MEA Vetra burns a steak and Cora plants some flowers you only really get the dialogue post the romance scene.

I saw their use of romantic for Bellara using the definition “of, characterized by, or suggestive of an idealized view of reality.”

I keep thinking about that (non)joke about Warner Bros. games. So, you've got a big success in Hogwarts Legacy, and an awful failure in Suicide Squad. Obviously, the correct strategy now is to... make more games like Suicide Squad.
But yeah, it's just a trailer.

I like this guy and agree this pretty much sums it up for me. I would more or less agree with what he put out...and here's hoping subsequent reveals shows that trailer to be simply a poor design choice in style and tone. And man the darkspawn absolutely cannot look like that in-game...simply awful.

I wouldn’t bank on the darkspawn NOT resembling the versions of the Veilguard trailer. Just look back at the 2020 trailer - you can clearly see the new version of the darkspawn in the one scene where an archer fires an arrow of green energy.

Well...that was actually pretty great.
Looks incredible - like, really, really beautiful. Level 1 combat is always going to be a difficult sell from a marketing point of view. Rook couldn't really do anything beyond pew pew with his blades or bow. The action wheel/pause function looks fine. On the bow...did it seem like shooting an arrow had a cool down? The icon with the arrows and the count - 8 - had a meter that filled after each shot. It filled quickly, to be sure, but they didn't appear to be special arrows or 'ability' shots, so why a cooldown? Also - no more bottomless quivers? Interesting choice.
I actually liked the look of the demons. An idea manifesting physical form in the mundane world seeming like it is held together by energy works for me.
Overall, it was really good. Heavily curated view of the game, of course, but when is that not true for previews/trailers? Hype is building.

He had arrows to but only had a limited number of shots that he could fire at a time before they had to wait for a 'reload' before he could start shooting again. And yeah personally I do wonder how this is going to work. Like we've heard talk of a momentum ability but do wonder how many archery focused abilities there are or if abilities will be entirely seperated from weapons period...at least the abilities we'll map on the wheels and quick bars.

They were all on individual cooldowns too to avoid spamming.

It filled quickly, to be sure, but they didn't appear to be special arrows or 'ability' shots, so why a cooldown? It's an ammo recharge cooldown. I've seen it introduced in a few games the last few years. It's between bottomless and limited but has to craft/find when I need more like Horizon/AC games. Basically, if you shot all 8 in a row, you'll have 0 and have to wait for one to recharge to shoot again. But at the speed Rook was aiming and how it was recharging, it won't be any slower than DAI to just shoot the bow. Also, we can guess it comes with passives in the skill trees. Whatever they are used or not to power bows abilities is up in the air. The only active used the little purple bar at the bottom with the pips (and cost was in pips).
