Dragon Age: The Veilguard Xbox Showcase Trailer

Liked the trailer - the art style, if it holds for the game itself, may take a bit of getting used to.

Music choice was weird. But, *points to Origins 'the new shit' trailer*, they have form for that.

Overall - it was good, looking forward to the gameplay.

The stylization in the trailer took me off guard but overall I rolled with it. The Fortnite comparison make me scratch my head, do people really think they look identical?

The only one that made me go "Eh, I think this is a bit too much" is Emmrich. On top of that we've got the GameInformer screenshots(?) that look definitely more "realistic", so who knows how the game will actually look. Guess we'll have to wait until June 11th!

I get why many dislike the artstyle, but I'm in a weird sort of disconnect because I love DA so much that they could give me a Persona-fied Dragon Age game and I'd play the hell out of it if it's good

Given that in the GI screenshot we have the protagonist, I'd say the game will looking like that, and not the trailer.

Four times in now:

The art style. I noticed that it's disjointed and weird because the companion splash bits are super stylized pieces of art. Like it goes from gameplay looking to that very quickly. The gameplay bits look fine,Inquisition like, the splash screens were obviously done outside the graphics. Odd choice but more I think less worried I am.

The combat, not always indicitive mind you since leiliana did this in a trailer in Inquisition. But Harding whacked an enemy with her bow limbs. Not exactly realistic but fine and something I don't mind. Also Rook knocked a chandelier down, environtal strategic combat?

Emrich has skelly boy, Davrin has a griffin. Does this mean we will have a lot of familiars? Will Rook?

Also the music is my favorite part of the trailer. I need a music rip now.

Inquisition went through the same crap.

 Solas will still be the center of the game don't know why they changed the title but I think it has something to do with Solas' plan with the veil. 

I remember watching this 10 years ago, and having goosebumps so I watched over and over

All companions unless there's some secret story ones.

Ah - didn't love the art style, it has to be said. But maybe it'll grow on me, or be slightly "less" when the game is actually being played. Cinematic trailers like this - even ones built 'entirely in game engine' - are always dialled up to 11.

The companions have a good look - although the Necromancer seems weird, but again - art style.

Harding. Got. Hot.

In the comics, 100%. There may have been some in Origin Dalish camp? But it's been a while.
