Did anyone outside of the Dalish ever confirm Elgar'nan and Mythal were an item? I mean people have just assumed that when Flemeth ranted on about how "she was betrayed as I was betrayed" it indicated they were both betrayed by their respective spouses but beyond that all that seemed apparent from the ancient texts is that Mythal and Elgar'nan were the two leading Evanuris, with Mythal seeming the one who mostly dispensed justice on a day to day basis but when things were really serious she deferred to Elgar'nan for final judgement. It was noticeable also that much of the time it was Mythal the other gods appealed to, asking her to take action when another god strayed out of line, rather than Elgar'nan, presumably because you really didn't want to involve him or invite his ire. I've always argued that the other gods wouldn't have moved against Mythal without his approval, whether he was her husband or not, because none of them (apart from perhaps Falon'Din) wished to antagonise him, but I do wonder just what sort of bonds did exist between him and Mythal other than mutual respect of the other's power. Likely the reason he agreed to her murder was to free him from any constraints he felt from her presence in the pantheon. The "she was betrayed as I was betrayed" gets even weirder if the betrayal was actually the same since Flemeth ran away with a lover and the betrayal was her husband promising to let them go safely if he could see her one more time. He lied.
Also, since I just finished DAI last night, Morrigan talks of a betrayal, but Abelas switched it to a murder. They might not be talking about the same event in the end. As I always said, you can't be betrayed by your enemies.
May be a joke but I am also quite serious, fiction does do this sort of thing all the time.

"I think we'd rather keep our own form." "No, you can't." Why? You don't need to know, and there's not enough time to explain.

So far I trust Solas about as much as the catalyst about the synthesis ending. And we're talking about the exact same kind of horrific one decides for everyone scenario. With unknown but irreversible consequences. Keep your reaper tech, Solas! *g* "I think we'd rather keep our own form." "No, you can't." Except Solas doesn't even give you 3 choices, it's synthesis or bust. At least the Catalyst is completely honest with us. So Solas is worse than the Catalyst. dumb dumb honest? No. Remember what is said when it can't be forced when talking about the green? Shepard is forcing the green, if chosen.

As I always said, you can't be betrayed by your enemies. Not entirely true. You can agree to a truce in a war whilst you go to discuss peace terms and then one of the parties stabs the other in the back at the meeting. They were always your enemy but you agreed not to treat them as such for a period of time and to break the truce in that way was a betrayal of your trust. However, I believe Solas stated that only a ally can betray.

So I was looking through screen shots of the game and came across this one which I hadn't seen before. This seems to be Rook holding the dagger, like in the poster. They have a cloak so even though they appear to have elf ears, I don't think it is Solas, although it is labelled Solas ritual. So where do you suppose this is? Was it an earlier concept of the ritual or is this one of the bits that was left out of the game play trailer?

I think that’s just concept art of the ritual we saw in the gameplay. Well I've discovered the source is the Gameinformer from a short piece taken from the main article about the reason for the name change and Solas' involvement in the plot. So, clearly it did come from Bioware. It looks more like actual game footage, though, and not concept art. However, I realise that could simply be an earlier build. Still, could it be a bit of missing footage actually from the game?

The funny thing is that he seems to be moving a big ball of Blight there.

I might be reading this wrong, but the Reaper specializations might offer, possibly, the option to wield dual blades, given the description in the article.

The discord is having a meltdown over the mention that you could change your lineage in the mirror. Some feel this cheapens the impact of your choice on the game world when Corinne Busche said lineage was important to outcomes and moments.
Others don' care and say if we don't like it don't choose it and no one knows your choice anyway.

That's not spelled out. It needs to be. I have to believe the game would just adjust around your choice in 2024. But I don't know.

I really hope you don’t need to aid all factions in order to be able to proceed main plot. Also not really a fan of the casual wear. Once again I hope there’s options within faction.

It's likely why you have companions from each faction and why they said that their personal quests feed into the main story.

"Gameplay-wise – each of our classes has a specialization, and each of them is tied to a faction,"
Does that mean as a mage if you want to play a spell blade you have to be a Crow, if you want to play an Evoker you have to play as Shadow Dragon and if you want to play a Death Caller you have to be a Mourn Watch? That is disappointing.

It's the next evolution of bioware companions and the one thing, from what I've seen and have inferred, that BG III was able to pull off.

So for a warrior if you want to be a Champion you have to be a Grey Warden; if you want to be a Slayer you have to join the Lords of Fortune and if you want to play a Reaper you have to join the Mourn Watch.

I doubt it since the Shadow Dragons don't have access to A rogue spec I'm sure. That's what I found strange. I saw that each specialism had the icon of a particular faction. I wondered how it would work when there are nine specialisms and only six factions. But what does that mean otherwise?

I think it'll be more related to the various factions unlocking the specs through the agents/companions. Okay, so if I want to be a spell blade I need to ask Lucanis for training perhaps? Or ask him where to go to get it. I'd be okay with that. It would be like DAO.
