And defeating Solas was supposed to be the second half or third of DAI, but dealing with Corypheus took up so much of the plot it got pushed off until another game. Maybe fighting the Evanuris was originally part 3 of the plan after (Fifth Blight)/(Corypheus-Solas)/(Evanuris) and then “Those Across the Sea”, if the Evanuris were part of that plan at all. I think Corypheus should have been like Loghain a smaller enemy, while Solas being the actual danger. The reason why the end of DAI does feel like an act ending and not like a game ending. I believe the Evanuris came into play after DAI was finished. And they needed another enemy for DATV. Maybe the reason why the start of DATV feels for me pieced together and not as one thing. |

Years before Veilguard came out, I stated that I'm more interested in the plot that goes back in time. One of those ideas was actually seeing Loghain's generation cast. From comics, it sounds like they had an adventurous group of characters that were as good as designed for a group based game.
Perhaps, liberation of Ferelden from slavery isn't as epic as gods! gods! gods! defeat gods! plot, but this story would have a warmer, down to earth, more humane cause to follow.
If you do too much of something, you get burned out and it doesn't strike you as powerful. Look at that, my hero defeated a god, however insane it might be, and gasp! there is an even more powerful god to fight... and another @#$#$ god after that god... it's becoming like a god stabbing chore. Meh... Give me something mortal I could relate to.
Watching the hints in possible DA5 trailers of more gods to come doesn't excite me. I'm actually burnt out after the Veilguard and I'm not waiting for DA5. If it comes... I guess I'll check the reviews and see if I want it, but I won't be trying to find news on its progress.
p.s. Also killing Ferelden = killing all the Mabari puppies in the world. So Booo!
