I don't know who " shinobi602" is, but this dude apparently has had a hands-on game session with Mass Effect Andromeda and he knows stuff. Nightman had the courtesy of sharing "shinobi602" experience with the game on this forum. The full info is on this link right here.
It all sounds pretty good. Now one part regarding the Multiplayer is particularly concerning: " New "Prestige" mechanic added: With several types of characters, you earn regular XP and prestige XP. The prestige XP goes into every character of that 'type', for example 'tanky' characters. Earning enough prestige can grant you added health for all tank characters, etc." This reminds of the Prestige system of Dragon Age Inquisition Multiplayer. There were three classes on that game - Rogue, Warrior and Mage - and after hitting Level 20 you have the option to promote. Sounds like Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, right? Well, by promoting you get a higher Prestige rank on the Leaderboards, but not just that: you also get one permanent stat point for each attribute: Cunning, Constitution and Willpower. And there is no cap, you can promote over and over and become invincible. With a few hundred promotions (a number easily achievable, I got well over a thousand promotions myself) a Level one Rogue can be tankier than three Level 20 Warriors. Builds usefulness becomes obsolete. Skill becomes irrelevant. For those who have played Diablo III, it is just like the Paragon system of that game. I really don't want to see this crap in a Mass Effect game. Imagine if N7 10,000 players were completely invincible on Gold? Imagine if an Infiltrator could have more Health/Shields than the Juggernaut?

This increase in stats might not be permanent and might be gone after promoting, we don't know yet. But if it is, yes, we already had the immortal so-called promotion lords in DAI-MP. It was not very inspirational. There were other things that killed DAI-MP but promotions certainly contributed a lot. After about 3 months the game became essentially unplayable for almost every casual player. The only people who had some sort of fun were a few hundred of those who were regularly promoting. On a bright side, there was no mentioning of any keys or zones. Those who played DAI-MP know what I'm talking about.

The Prestige system in DAMP was something I went - Huh? Won't that make it impossible to balance? - when I heard about it, since if you put 2 seconds of thought into it you realize how flawed an idea it is. I think I posted about 20 times on the old BSN about the problem of not being able to play with people from other regions, if they haven't fixed up those issues then the rest is irrelevant to me.

exactly my thoughts spacev3gan ... prestige rang a bell and not a pleasant one there are a couple of things that would ruin the ME:AMP (for me at least): - Region lock - Prestige-Promotion-System - RNG (IF it is like in DA:I were you can draw the same (AKA identical!) weapon more than once) - bugs (hello you lovely little friggin key ) that are not dealt with for months

Man they just can't be dumb enough to include a promote system similar to DAMP can they? Play and promote enough in DAMP and it became a mindless face roll as the kits got way to OP, any idiot could solo the highest difficulty in that game with enough promotes, if it's true I'm not buying it.

Hey, where's my microtransaction trollstore? I gotta have it! You can be sure there will be one in the next ME game also as it's a great source of revenue for EAware. Keep in mind though that it also financed all the free DLCs for ME3MP which was a great thing.

I'm not gonna read anything more about Andromeda until a month after it has been released. Totally not pre-ordering anything since the Shadow of Revan-Prerelease-Debacle in SWTOR which basicly made the Pre-Order-Players paying Beta-Testers...
If it turns out to be more DAI than ME3 and generally bad, I won't even buy that game.

Anyway, If promoting points per character are capped and very limited -much like Borderlands, that's ok. But there are people like me who do not promote. What a hassle. Fuck promotions. The hell are they doin'?

Please no prestige system like in DAMP. It allowed you to steamroll through higher difficulties with a team of glass cannons and they balanced the later difficulties around players with a certain number of promotions. And after I got to 170 Cunning, I didn't even have a reason to play rogues anymore. The game became nothing but a promotion grind (and hakkon grind, never got that greatsword).
The loot system was also terrible, I'd rather have the card packs from ME3MP back. The pre-crafted missions that award currency to buy specific weapons directly sounds neat though.

Never played DAMP was it really that bad? Region lock, lag, stability issues and connection issues, game-breaking bugs, terrible loot system, game-breaking promotion system. The game felt like a beta test. That's partly because they never did a proper beta test in the first place.

Real talk right here. If MEAMP features the Promote = Skill Points from DAIMP, then I'm not buying it, because most of my enjoyment comes from multiplayer, and I wouldn't enjoy that feature in Mass Effect MP.
