I rather having them include more meaningful romance options, than "just a fling" relationships.

If the main romances have enough content (which based on their previous comments of squadmates having more content then in ME3 is possibly true), I don't mind flings or light romances being included.

I hope the romances where sex isn't a mandatory part of them are among the main options and not just the light romances the article talks about.

This whole "new approach to relationships" is one of the things I'm most looking forward, really. Granted, it's not like we know enough about the game to be excited about something else, but knowing characters is possibly what BioWare does best, this should be good.

I suppose you are right. Multiple romances in DAI had it be optional choice(Dorian, Rainier, and Sera) which tied the romances that had it be mandatory(Cassandra, Cullen, The Iron Bull). And then arguably the romance tied most to the plot(Solas) and the poster romance for the game(Josephine) went even further and had no mention of it or even flirts that were sexual in nature, instead leaving it up to player interpretation and focusing on the romantic part of the relationship.
On the other hand, this is a different team so while it is most likely to be the same I hope we get confirmation before the game comes out. Maybe they'll do that on Valentine's Day since that is near release.

I am specifically interested in the human female companion relationship and I expect(or hope) it will be meaningful.

And another one when someone reminds about sex cards and Triss Playboy spread which the Witcher fanbase likes to pretend don't exist

I have never played The Witcher and I'm literally just sat here like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Whuuuutttt?

In the first game when you had a sexual encounter with someone you unlocked a sex card. It isn't present in either the second or the third game.

My own thoughts are "some things are better left to the imagination"
