^You are making assumptions, Muffin. You really shouldn't do that. There is nothing that says Scott has to be featured, but you can bet I'll have my fingers crossed. For Liam too. Bioware actually did say for the promotion of this game they would swap the sibling with each trailer or gameplay shown. So since Scott was in the last trailer and Sarah in the last gameplay, Scott will show up in the next gameplay and Sarah in the next trailer. Well that's nifty. I'm not going to get my hopes up too much though. DAI's at times obnoxiously frustrating info release is keeping me grounded this time around for MEA.

They have done it without fail so far in the release of gameplay and trailers since they revealed the protagonists. Don't see why they wouldn't continue that now. Ah, the DAI promotional cycle. Those were good times. Back then we actually learned things about the game and characters rather than the nonsense they are doing now.

Yeah, we learned things, but in the most haphazard of ways. The romance reveals were the absolute worst. If they reveal the romances for MEA I really hope they do them all at the same time, and not like with DAI were Cassandra and Cullen were confirmed months before people even knew if Vivienne, Blackwall or Solas would even be available. And don't get me started with the way they revealed- or rather failed to reveal unless urged via twitter- the sexualities of LIs once they were announced. DA devs: Cass and Cullen are romanceable guys! BSN forumites interested in hetero romance with Cass and Cullen: YAAAAAAAAYYYYY! HOOOORAAAAAY! BSN forumites interested in gay romance with Cass and Cullen: Ummm........hooray? Can S/S Inquisitors romance them too? Can we celebrate too? DA devs: .................................. BSN forumites interested in gay romance with Cass and Cullen: Yep. Great times.

After all you're looking at the person who started the Josephine thread and had to wait forever to get any information(insert 'saved the best for last' joke here). It went on so long even the devs started using the nickname I gave her Scribbles. But at least we still actually learned things. This whole keeping quiet until the last minute is what irks me to no end, especially in this scenario since the setting is being changed so fundamentally. And a lot of things they are keeping in the shadows makes no sense why to.

They just took it to another level for Andromeda.

MEA as you said took it to another level where it is almost nothing but a blackout with only a couple info bursts which have been mostly vague.

I'm likely going to name my character Zhan. I really look forward to playing as the new protagonist and start the journey. I read that Ryder isn't as experienced as Shepard and hasn't made a name for themselves yet. It'll be interesting to see how the choices affect the development of our character.

Indeed Xesthan. Shep was great, but in many ways was already that way when we started playing. It will be interesting to take someone fairly anonymous and turn them into a hero.

I love Shepard, but an entire trilogy was plenty for them, and was tied in tightly with the Reaper threat. I enjoyed the story, but I'm looking forward to Mass Effect through a new character's eyes.

I look forward to this new set of characters. While I do prefer to stick with the same character over the course of several games to develop them, there does come a time when they reach a pinnacle and after that there's nowhere to go with their story. I loved all my Shepards. They all managed to save the galaxy, so how can you possibly do better than that? Retirement on some beach somewhere? Not much playability there.
So I'm looking forward to meeting my Ryders, developing them from wet-behind-the-ears noobs into heroes who might even one day become legends in their own right. I hope they do well and I get just as attached so we have a nice long journey together.

I honestly thought I couldn't set my expectations lower, and yet Bioware has surprised me yet again with how awful their pre-release cycle for this game is.

Also, on twitter they just confirmed that there will be a 15-min gameplay demo like for DAI at some point before release Personally, I'll skip it (I felt like I went into Inquisition knowing way more than I wanted to) and just check out some screenshots or something. At this point I just want to see our squadmates and hear a bit of their voices, and maybe get some romance info - I'd prefer to discover the environments and story as I play the game instead (nothing beats that initial wow factor when I see a place or play a mission for the first time, and I kind of robbed myself of that by watching all those Inquisition demos).

That's actually the reason why I didn't see any gameplay videos. I had no idea Corypheus would be in DA:I. I suspected he's make a return, but not as he did in the game. I was so surprised, especially when he brought his dragon with him. I'll do the same with Andromeda.

I just want to see some dialogue scenes with Scott, Coras and Liams face and the remaining companion (who I suspect to be an andromedian). I never watched the 15 min video in DAI, and wouldn't do such a thing in ME:Andromeda either. Oh, and a video about the character creator would be very ncie as well. The CC in Mass effect was - nicely said - horrible. It was nearly impossible to create a decent looking male character, so I always ended up with default shep. I really hope for some nice hair styles (and long hair options for female AND male characters as well).

Just saw the newest video with the voice actors for Scott and Sara. If their performance was any indication of the siblings' personalities, it looks like my theory is shaping up to be correct.
Sara looks to be the more dominant personality. She's bolder, more outgoing, a jokester, and seems to pick on Scott. Scott is mellower, slightly dorky, calmer, and quietly bears the brunt of Sara's teasing.
This is how I prefer it, honestly.

I don't know how much can we take from that video, but if Scott is anything like Tom in it, I'd be very happy, I love the idea of Sara having a brother like him, he was great

I think you will be able to shape their personalities to a degree, but if that is basic outline, I am going to love both (hey, it might be my first male protagonist pt in bioware game )
