She looks fine for me in game. No. We're just gonna ignore all the other times we've actually seen the characters and focus on these character kit models as evidence that Bioware devs don't know character models.

Leave it there all you want. The Scott picture is not the same perspective as Shepard's.

Leave it there all you want. The Scott picture is not the same perspective as Shepard's. This! Also, I posted this in the Jaal thread because we strayed over to the topic, but since it actually makes more sense here, I'll paste it (sorry to people who read both threads for the repeat!): Point is, we are used to seeing more idealized male proportions in game - something that doesn't really get discussed as much as portrayals of the female body, but it's still there. So Scott looks a bit 'stubby' in comparison to what we're used to (and Shepard especially), when in fact he's actually pretty close to reality. But if you were to compare him to real world guys he looks fine. Maybe a smidgen off (but I blame the camera angle rather than the model, because in game he looks just right to me).

As far as the character model goes guys. Don't you think maybe it's just the weird perspectives ? Out of all the other times we've seen Scott I've never heard a single person say they thought his proportions are off. So logically, why would you immediately assume his proportions are messed up based off this set of shots ?
I'm just saying, I think it's far more logical to assume it's the screenshots that are weird and not Scott himself. Because he's always looked fine in gameplay and trailers.

The problem is the posture, not that perspective is helping though. For whatever reason, Scott is arching his chest forward in that picture (I really hope that's not his resting stance in the game), making him look a bit weird, if not straight up disproportionate. He has looked fine in game though, so I see no reason to worry about.

Since people are talking about Scott's height, I will confess that it would be better if he was more in the size of this guys: I mean the guy beside his armour. This should make everybody want to avoid battle right? This is a joke and should not be taken serious.

I wonder if the differences between Scott and Sara's dialogue is mainly tone and inflection, with only a few unique. Changes in that convey the same things but can come across differently. Like, a threatening line could be done calm and coldly by Scott, but load and angrily by Sara. It's the exact same line but delivered differently, making each twin still feel unique. If it's like that then I'm fine with differences.
It may even lead to me playing a woman in Mass Effect, something I usually only do in DA.

Yep it's crazy that people are acting like we haven't seen the game in action already and saw the kits 1st. I also don't see why people are complaining. These are only character kits. It has already been confirmed that Liam is 183cm tall and Ryder looks even taller than him.

I can see a decent amount of people complaining if the twins' dialogue was too different from each other especially if it led to different outcomes. Since we can choose from varied personalities such as the one that was hovered over in the game play featuring Sara with the confusion icon, I'm thinking it'll be less about them having different personalities, since we're able to choose different types of dialogue in the first place, and more about how how they are delivered. Sara's comment in the demo "A hothead...great." can be Scott saying "So...a hothead, just what I needed." Simple tweaks like this are the most I expect from varied dialogue (aside from background specific dialogue) in this game.

I just hope this will also be the case in "each scene" of the final game. In DAI and Mass Effect 3 I always thought some scenes look better than the others, especially at the beginning. Each time I created my own character he looked very strange at the start of the game, but did improve during the course. And it wasn't only because I got used to him. There had been some differences in the quality of facial animations in later scenes. I hope they are more even this time.

Leave it there all you want. The Scott picture is not the same perspective as Shepard's. Seeing as it's part of the character kit, basically where character models should be in as neutral a pose as possible, i'm pretty sure the proportions are off, angle or not, that just accentuates the effect. I just hope it gets sorted out before the game ships. also if body size proportions are off, this might imply that it doesn;t just effect ryder but all character models. Note for example cora's disproportionately large head

Regardless, you can see here the proportions are different in game: While in the kit the torso's length rewches below the calves, in the shot I posted it reaches around where the calves start. The legs are longer in game. Same goes for Cora, her head doesn't look as big compared to her body in some shots in game, like in the kissing scene.

We've got a bunch of inconsistent looking character models which in itself is worrying since it might imply that bioware isn't exactly comfortable with the frostbite engine. that...does not bode well.

The body model of Scott, and the ratio between torso and legs, it's the same in all the shots taken in game. The only one where it didn't is the kit, which, based on previous experience, isn't representive of the character's appearance in the game. Morrigan was different from her kit. He looks fine in the game, so I don't see big reason to worry so far.
