Scott Ryder 'BroRyder' (Official Thread)

SAM getting hacked is one of the quests and Ryder helps fight off the virus. With what is presented in game is that SAM can't be hacked through Ryder, it has to be done at SAM node, which has a guard stationed right outside the door, and is enough security until the Kett show up and take over the Hyperion. Even then SAM hasn't been hacked, he is helping Sara, and playing along with the Archon while at the same time working with Sara to guide Scott to the Archon.

Triggering a power feed back and killing the Archon isn't enough? Scott should vent his anger out on a corpse? It seems Scott would be more likely to make sure his sister is safe and they both get medical attention given the strain that was put on their brains while interfacing with Rem-tech and not having full access to SAM. Lexi flat out tells you that you have some lacerations on you brain from the strain but it has healed up well between the time facing the Archon and the epilogue.

Also several quests involve disabling or out right destroying Kett security consoles and networks. There are even instances where you hack Kett security consoles and pull off information or listen to audio logs.
