I really love the Dragon Age series. I bought all the novels, and I think one hardcover comic (maybe Silent Grove). I bought all the DLC for first two in series. Even got the bonus items for both when Bioware offered it for signing up to their forum or something. I was getting everything, dude. Then... I couldn't get the Inquisitor edition with the cards, box and all because they were out of stock. I felt so devastated (first world problems but it really sucked) so I stopped buying comics and didn't collect anymore DA material (like the pens and bookmarks that was instock that I wanted) but I still bought the DLC. Sorry for the rant but it really was a preorder failure on my part. Now, I have got over it so it's all good. So now I don't get OCD or get hyped so it's actually helped me not obsess over it and I am less critical over games. So if the preorder gives DLC content or any in game extras, I am content. Im not going to get goodies edition though. If you made it this far, thanks for listening to me.

I would like to being a Mass Effect fan but I consider pre-ordering games as a bad habit, so no.

If there is some benefit to reordering (i.e. free DLC), then I will probably do so. I've enjoyed all Bioware's past games, thus, even if it's not perfect, I expect I will enjoy ME:A, so I might as well get the free stuff. I doubt I'll go for any special editions though, just the base game.

Me. CE or Digital Deluxe, one of the two. I am a completionist, and I have to have everything that is in the game, which includes special armor/weapons/whatever they include in those packs. And it's Mass Effect, I would be buying it even if they sold shit with N7 on it.

It's funny that people who are big fans are excited about it. That's precisely why I'm not excited about this. It isn't because I hate Mass Effect. It's because I liked it. And it ended. And in Hudson's own words, he never intended a sequel. Now it's a Bioware team with hardly any of the original members. So I'm cautious. I don't understand what they're even trying to do with this yet.

I will preorder it just to get my hands on MEA:MP as fast as possible (let's hope it's good). There hasn't been enough information for me to get ecited for the singleplayer campaign though (which is normally the only/ biggest reason I buy (or even preorder) games).

I'll certainly be picking the game up at launch, but whether I'll pre-order or not largely depends on the content of the CE(s)--I just don't see much point in pre-ordering the regular edition of any game, since it's not like they'll be in limited supply, and unless I'm buying a CE or find a really good deal, I always go digital at this point anyway. If they do a decent mid-range CE - in line with what we've seen from Mass Effect in the past - for a reasonable amount of money, I'll definitely pre-order that - gotta keep the set going - and I'd certainly be willing to consider a high-end CE if it had the content to justify the price. I like physical items - a model of the Tempest would be just fantastic, or perhaps a more 'Mass Effect-y' take on Halsey's journal from the Halo: Reach CE, which remains my all-time favourite collector's edition - much, much more than in-game exclusive content - weapons, armour, that sort of thing - which almost always feels out-of-place in the progression curve, and like it would've worked much better if they'd just made it part of the standard game, and designed around its presence. The Fallout: New Vegas pre-order stuff is a great example of this. Cool gear and weapons, but finding it all in your inventory at the start of the game completely messes up the - otherwise fantastic, especially for such a big open world game - early-game progression curve. I'd have much rather they distributed the items throughout the world in the same way as all the other loot, and the easiest way to do that fairly would've been to just make it all part of the base game. Otherwise, you'd get people - perhaps quite rightly - complaining that the game gated access to pre-order content that they were promised when they made their purchase.

I'm torn. AFter the disappointment of DAI (not to mention ME3), if it weren't for the promised MP, I'd sit it out and read the reviews and think about it. MP makes a difference though. I sincerely hope the difference isn't going to make it more like DAMP.

I said this before, there is a good chance I will be getting the game for free anyway, so a pre-order may not be necessary.
That said, who knows how many will pre-order. Knowing me, I will because I plan on playing it anyway.

I'm pretty on the fence on most game these days so I almost never pre order unless its worth it. In this case depends on the gameplay whenever Bioware decides to show off something concrete rather than more Dev Diaries here and there

I'm not going to pre-order like ever. Paying in advance for something is never a sensible decision. If I'm hyped enough by gameplay videos and by the squadmates we will be presented with then I'll buy it at release if not then I'm going to wait for a complete edition like they did for DA:I.
In case you wonder yes I'm a super fan of this franchise but I'm also a rational consumer.

I don't understand what they're even trying to do with this yet. The reason I'm excited about this isn't necessarily because it's Mass Effect, but rather that it's going to be a space opera in which we get to traverse a galaxy (or cluster) with a new batch of colorful characters, so really, this could have been an entirely new scifi IP and I'd be happy about it. There's not a whole lot of this sort of thing, and most developers don't seem to be interested in trying, so regardless of any reservations on how BioWare is going to establish its new story, that it's another space shooter that's character-focused matters a great deal more to me. Despite loving the original trilogy, it was also a hot mess that suffered greatly from poor decisions and slapdash planning throughout, so whether or not having new faces on the team is a bad thing is yet to be determined.

So if any of preorder bonuses will interest me in the slightest, the sensible thing to do is preorder immediately. By buying physical copy or digital on release, you actually pay more in advance than me preordering. Just FYI.

I will preorder it only if they'll provide some preorder bonus content that I can't absolutely miss, which I find it difficult considering that I usually buy digital versions.
Since DA:O came out I used to preorder every game that I wanted to play, not only from BW but from every company. Now I have grown tired of playing incomplete/buggy games. The more you wait the higher are your chanches to play a stable and complete game, most likely for a lower price, therefore why should I bother? I have a huge backlog of games on my Steam/GOG/Origins libraries, therefore I can wait for a game to be fully patched before buying it.
