Some advice to be a good team player: - always try to stay in the circle for hacks and escorts; do NOT stay near the teammate who is doing devices; clear the path for the pizza delivery and lastly help as much as you can with targets; - on extraction do NOT swarm the landing (extraction) zone despite what the idiot voice is telling you: stay away till the last 20-30sec and then rush to the LZ; - revive teammates, but be aware of their surroundings do NOT rush blindly; - learn what kit to use with your team (ex. if all your teammates are biotics it's almost never a good idea to play an engineer); - always try to find cover from which to shoot, as that gives you an advantage, also learn to dodge attacks ( as someone said, your character's face is not cover  ). haha i love the very last advice. I have learned the extraction rule from you guys so i follow it to the T.Very good tips there. Always tend to try and save team mates which sometimes ends up with me being down too.Need to work on that. As far as what kit to use with team mates i'm totally clueless.So no engineer with biotics .Are there any other classes that clash too ?. There are two main ways to damage the enemy: weapons and powers (including grenades); from this you can broadly separate classes as weapon-based (ex. soldiers or infiltrators) or power-based (ex. engineers, adepts, vanguards). Powers usually do damage by themselves, but also can be combined on the same target(s) in a certain sequence to obtain a Power Combo, which is more powerful than the damage you get from each power separately. Ex. with the Human adept if you use a Singularity on a group of enemies (that is called priming) and after that you use Warp or Shockwave on one of those enemies (that is called detonating) you get what is called a Biotic Explosion which does a lot of damage. Another ex. the Human Engineer with Incinerate and Overload (or Overload and Incinerate). And I could go on. The problem with playing an Engineer with a group of biotics is that your powers supersede the biotic powers in priming a target. And that is a problem as biotic explosions do usually more damage than the other combos. But all of that will come to you through playing the game, especially with good players. And one other advice: do not take anything personal (like steal killing for instance). Once you get to Gold and Platinum you'll learn that given the difficulty (of killing the enemy) it's less important who kills the enemy as to kill it as fast as you can. |

There are certain inside "jokes" people from BSN tend to do over and over again(such as the git gud). They don´t actually mean it. But new people don´t have a chance to understand that, so they might get offended even when it was not meant to be. If you may, don´t take it to your heart, folks around are just used to constant lighthearted poking. On topic: 1) Don´t be embarassed or shy with cover. It´s great thing that WILL help. If you need shields, go to cover. 2) Find good, shielded spots for reviving or device hacking. Particularly for hacking - rather then just run in and hack, position yourself to a spot that offers most cover possible or cover from more sides, glue yourself inside the wall if you can. For almost all devices, you can find some sort of spot covered like that. 3) Regularly check your back. You know that Geth hunter is coming! Its just with being new and all. I have took on a troll advice and got burned.If it wasn't one of my favourite posters here i would have  lol No geths are going to sneak up on me  |

If your teammate is down, make sure you cleared out the cause of his/her demise first, then revive, unless you are an infiltrator and can sneak in undetected, and stealth-res. Most particularly, if he's found where that Phantom was the hard way, be very wary. Not taking down a smug Scion or Ravager gleefully perched on that high ground, that got your BFF down in the middle of the most widely open part of the entire zone is a recipe for (at the very best) a chain of death and res'es.
As for dealing with cussing, I emply my very personal Zinner Zkinner Filter, that magically converts anything into civilized speech in any language. For example, a typical PvP log is converted into this:

still do sometimesEasy tidbit here is what I call the Obi Wan Rule. Always maintain the high ground.  If you're a grenade carrying class or a wide area primer (Reave/Snap Freeze) it's easy to annihilate spawns quickly. With bigger maps like London or Rio, try to stay along the sides to maintain some cover. London can be very challenging when out in the open. At the start of each wave, try not to stay too close to teammates. The move you encapsulate a map, the easier and more likely it is that the spawns will be easily taken advantage of. Lastly, always have an escape route. Giant's landing zone is a great one due to the back entrance and ladder, the back room/container across from the LZ in Ghost is another. As far as reload cancelling, it's incredibly easy and simple. Simply cancel the reload animation by any other action once your ammo is reloaded. I find a light melee or power cast (even if still on cooldown) to be the best. You can also do things like take cover to hasten the weapon switching animation or light meleeing then immediately running to cancel the Tech Armor animation. As go higher up in difficulty, this will be much more important. Silver is much harder now than in the old days. Enemies do almost as much damage as gold but waves budgets are smaller and bosses typically don't spawn as much. It's not a huge leap to gold but you should get used dealing with enemies with guns. Gold+ Marauders and Collectors ain't no joke.  |

Max common weapons first to level ten by buying recruit packets, then you can move up to silver.
On silver, max uncommon weapons first by buying veteran packs, then you're clear for gold.
Gold is mostly try and error then.
You may ask about Platinum later, if you have done the previous steps successfully.
Heck, somehow I'd like to start a second account and begin with a plat solo!!! Oh my god.^^

Oh and mostly, use consumable like medigels, if you're dead and no one can revive you. Many people like to collect their gels for their medigel collector club.^^
Also put gear and amps in the lobby on. Running naked is worthless time and will make other people annoyed.

still do sometimesEasy tidbit here is what I call the Obi Wan Rule. Always maintain the high ground. If you're a grenade carrying class or a wide area primer (Reave/Snap Freeze) it's easy to annihilate spawns quickly. With bigger maps like London or Rio, try to stay along the sides to maintain some cover. London can be very challenging when out in the open. At the start of each wave, try not to stay too close to teammates. The move you encapsulate a map, the easier and more likely it is that the spawns will be easily taken advantage of. Lastly, always have an escape route. Giant's landing zone is a great one due to the back entrance and ladder, the back room/container across from the LZ in Ghost is another. As far as reload cancelling, it's incredibly easy and simple. Simply cancel the reload animation by any other action once your ammo is reloaded. I find a light melee or power cast (even if still on cooldown) to be the best. You can also do things like take cover to hasten the weapon switching animation or light meleeing then immediately running to cancel the Tech Armor animation. As go higher up in difficulty, this will be much more important. Silver is much harder now than in the old days. Enemies do almost as much damage as gold but waves budgets are smaller and bosses typically don't spawn as much. It's not a huge leap to gold but you should get used dealing with enemies with guns. Gold+ Marauders and Collectors ain't no joke. *writes down the obi wan rule * Cant wait till i experience the horror that is gold/platinum haha. And thanks for breaking down the reload cancelling.
