In an earlier post I said I was going to push a Colossus all the way to the Salarian camp on Virmire. I was able to get one through the final gatehouse before I hit that very brief "loading" notice after which 99% of the Colossus despawned. Strangely, the light emanating from its head survived the transition. I guess enemies are confined to the portion of the map they spawn onto. BTW, though this Colossus could no longer be pushed or killed, it wasn't lost. After a save/reload I found it re-spawned at its original location. Other enemies, like Jax on the Citadel and my litter of rachni soldiers on Nepmos, re-spawn at the spot where they disappear as you get close to that location. (The nice thing about Jax is that he doesn't heal or recharge while despawned, whereas you do.)

I tried Lift/Throwing a tyre all the way from Hanshan to XIV with Kaidan and Liara but I had no anti-hazard armour. And it disappeared when I turned my back.

I just finish a paragon control playthrough where the genophage wasn't cured. Shepard's speech is slighly different from what I used to see. When Tuchanka's images appeared, she said: "to give the many a chance at peace to allow the mistake of the past to be righted"
I wasn't awared of that change.

Goofing around Eden Prime today, I discovered that I could walk along the rail back to the remaining train cars (I had to use ghost briefly at first to get to the rail). When I got back, that area of the map only partially loaded: everything but the ground where you walk. That missing layer revealed a couple of guns, a pistol and an assault rifle, pointing very near to where Jenkins is: I picked another Shepard to repeat this test. This time the ground did spawn, but I was able to ghost behind the large rocks and get a closer look. Looks like an Avenger assault rifle and a Spectre Master pistol. No idea what they are doing there.

Jenna (from the Den in ME1) and Tali share the same voice actress. It isn't as noticeable in ME1,but in ME3 it was to me. You can hear Tali's accent creeping out, which the character Jenna did not have in ME1. I also noticed a more American style accent from Tali in ME1 and in later games she has her trademark accent. I'm betting that accent can be hard to slip out of if someone was doing a lot of hours as another character.

Not sure if this is technically a little thing, but one of the things i love in the first Mass Effect, is the epic scale felt in missions such as Noveria and Virmire. Neither of them were on the off the wall level of 'epicness' per say compared to the very high stakes of Tuchanka in ME3, I think in Noveria and Virmire the production values and writing for those two missions were just so good, and a personal highlight for me in ME1. Everything from the locations visuals and self-contained lore, the corporate intrigue of Noveria, to the parallel of the tropical paradise like setting of Virmire against the experiments Saren does in his base and the implications his work, and what transpires on Virmire, has on the rest of the series. Tension and atmosphere were so effortlessly conveyed and evoked through music and writing on those two particular levels as well. Just an example for me when every area of development just hits all the right notes and it comes together and produces two excellent levels in the series, for me anyways, I'm sure there are those who don't rate them as highly as I do

During the party on the Citadel, Javik will estimate that it would take at least 100 pyjaks to kill a Krogan. If he's not there, Zaeed will estimate 200 pyjaks. If neither of them are present, Grunt will say 300.

But Tali, Traynor and Garrus going through the elements whilst boogieing was my personal fave.

If you escape the rachni swarms on Nepmos by leaving the planet but then return, the swarm countdown will pick up right where it left off before you've even landed. The swarm itself will wait for you to arrive at the listening post.

Finally got the Harbinger line.. “Human; viable possibility, if emotional drives are subjugated.”
I always wondered who it was. It's Jacob.

I don't know what it really was about, but I get the feeling it was some subtle hint at the dark energy plot they had once. But for some reason, I'm still fascinated by Harbinger's comments.

Imagine if Harbinger and Jacob combined pick up lines! "Can you feel it? I know you feel it..." "Assuming direct control...of the prize!" I don't think my FemShep could resist that! It might explain quite a lot about Jacob in ME3 though...

If all ME2 squadmates are in ME3, only 3, Miranda, Mordin and Legion, not counting Tali and Garrus, can't be avoided while the rest can be. Grunt, Kasumi, Jacob, Jack, Zaeed, Samara are part of side missions that can be avoided while Thane can be ignored.

Only you would know this He doesn't. Shepard has to talk with him in the hospital for him to show up during the coup. The reason why I know this is because my first playthrough of ME3, I walked right by Thane without realizing he was standing near the window. The councilor was killed and Thanes' name was on the memorial wall after completing Cronos. I was surprised to see his name since I never saw him in my playthrough. I corrected that by talking with him during my 2nd playthrough

One that took me years to discover: When EDI becomes unshackled, she'll start speaking during planet scans in a more casual manner. Instead of "Probe launched", "Probe Away". And if you hit a dud/empty spot, she'll be like "Shepard.... seriously?"

Having just started a ME2 playthrough; EDI actually uses "Probe away" (and a third message I can't recall) from the very beginning. But I don't know about the the "Shepard... seriously?" and "really, Commander?" ones.

But I don't know about the the "Shepard... seriously?" and "really, Commander?" ones. I know those phrases happen if you try to scan the planet Uranus (which is depleted) in the Sol System... followed by another special line if you persist. I don't know if you can get them if you try to scan other depleted planets or if you completely fail to get any resources with a probe. I don't think I've ever heard it other than when doing a scan of the planet Uranus.

In ME1, if you have Garrus and Wrex together on your squad and you ask them to comment on the Krogan Memorial (by clicking on them while standing close to it), they will get into quite a little argument with each other over the whole genophage issue. Their individual comments about the statue are somewhat different if you don't have both of them together on the squad.
