What does it say when you go up to it? That it's Jon Grissom, founder of Grissom Academy. Unfortunately, nothing more. That's a shame. Kahlee should've had some dialogue seeing as he was her father .

ME1, Ontarom - After interacting with Corporal Toombs, the mission automatically returns you outside the facility. Before now, I've always just left the planet at that point, but this time I decided to go back into the facility and look around in the room that Toombs was in. I discovered a monitor that you can click on. The monitor opens, but it didn't appear to to anything. However, in this playthrough Shepard has already finished the Hades Dogs mission. I'm wondering if you do the Ontarom mission first (UNC: Dead Scientists) before doing the string of Cerberus mission regarding Kohoku if the monitor provides information on Cerberus.
I don't see this monitor mentioned on the Wiki page for the UNC: Dead Scientists mission. Does anyone here know what this monitor is for?

The monitor does nothing. May be unfinished/cut content for something. The Kahoku quest, or the Baines quest, perhaps - who knows?

In ME1, you can turn Kaidan into a fascist...
I never knew this was even possible until I saw this video.

I kinda headcanoned that Morinth killed Samara's bondmate when she escaped. I never considered that, but it makes perfect sense. Samara becoming a Justicar just to stop Morinth, as well as Falere rooting for Samara to kill her own sister, totally fits with Morinth having killed Samara's bondmate / Falere's other parent. Head canon borrowed! One that hasn't been mentioned so far is that Manuel, the mentally ill scientist that Shepard can falcon punch on Eden Prime, has a cameo (sort of) in ME2's Firewalker DLC. One of the two Cerberus scientists you're supposed to be tracking down is named Dr. Manuel Cayce. By the end of the DLC you find out he's killed himself to avoid succumbing to indoctrination, and you never encounter him directly, but in the voice recording you can play it is clearly the same voice actor for ME1 Manuel.

I'd kind of assumed Manuel in ME1 had been in contact with the beacon but he didn't have the mental fortitude of someone like Commander Shepard. Hence, while Shepard was fine, the already unstable Manuel got worse. Indoctrination was another possibility but I think contact with the beacon fits better.

I don't think this was ever posted but Fai Dan's suicide while under the Thorian's spore influences out of willpower is actually a not very subtle foreshadowing of Saren's eventual fate should the player persuade him to commit suicide.

Depending on the playthrough,
James is the first squadmate Shepard meets and could be the last squadmate Shepard talks with before going up the beam edibot could be the last squadmate Shepard meets and the last to talk with before going up the beam. the same could be said about Tali and Javik. Liara, Garrus, Ashley and Kaidan could be the last squadmate Shepard talks with before going up the beam

I sort of wish they had somehow had Hackett as the first person Shepard talked to in ME1... since he was the last person Shepard talked to in ME3. (I like that sort of symmetry in literature.)

Pyjaks, at least on Zorya in ME2, seem to be chameleons. They shift color to blend in with their background.

In ME1 - If one waits to acquire the Citadel: Asari Consort assignment until after locking in Shepard's romance partner and then take that partner when first meeting Sha'ira AND using all the paragon options when talking with Sha'ira, the LI will butt in with a jealous sounding remark when Sha'ira is telling Shepard what it is she does along the lines of "That's fasinteresting, but you wanted to speak with the commander." (At least Ashley and Liara do it. I haven't actually tried it with Kaidan yet but I'm assuming he would also comment along the same lines if he is Shep's LI at that point in time.)

I don't think I've ever deferred that quest, so I've never seen that. What happens after you turn in the quest and select "That's it?" It would be strange that the LI is jealous at the beginning of the quest but not during this scene.

I'll have to check it out with both Liara and Ashley when I can get back to playing later tonight. ETA: No reaction from Ashley, so I think there will probably be no reaction from Liara either. I guess I could also now add this to the "Things that don't make sense" thread. I guess they never thought that even a ruthless renegade Shepard would ever do the consort with his girlfriend watching... and I have to admit that it just felt really wrong.

Punching him on Eden Prime made me literally LOL during my first run of ME1 due to how awkward the animation was. Here's a vid that features cut audio from Ol' Manny (among other things) from Firewalker DLC.

Now that i remembered, the hacking mini-game in ME2 reminded me of the old card matching one from super mario bros 3 and that's.... pretty cool actually. That and i dug the frogger inspired hacking mini-game on the PC version of ME1(it was something else on the console version afaik).

Yeah, the Xbox version was stuck with a "Simon Says" type hack in ME1. It got really boring after a short bit... but at least we could just slap omni-gel on everything if we wanted to. I liked ME2's hacking games much, much better.

After all, they may not have the security upgrades that came about in ME2.
