Whenever you see a cinematic trailer, always be aware that scenes can be cut together that don't actually go together. Same with the audio track. I think BioWare in particular take pride in deliberately throwing people off the track in terms of what their trailers are cut to imply.

I'm not sure about this. If they cared about forums they wouldn't shut down official forum. 
Yeah, I still hold the grudge. ;P

Considering that gay men had next to nothing until Mass Effect 3 (even then it was shallow), the only repetitiveness of Mass Effect that would irk me is if the gay character is as irrelevant and underdeveloped as Steve.

Maybe.  Again, we have no idea if Reyes is a m/m romance.  Nor do we know if he's straight, gay, or bisexual.

If speculation is true and Jaal is Bi, I doubt they would have another alien as the other gay LI.  I didn't even think of Cortez when people started mentioning Reyes being Hispanic, but if they give us 2 Hispanic gay LI that are crew members that shows a rather huge lack of imagination. 

I guess I'm the only one who think the thin lip guy is cute in a bad guy kind of way.
He vaguely reminds me of the dude with the tatoo on the head , you could see in a short demo video about some grenade effects.
The Dude , Drack(?) was holding by the ankle?

Has anyone managed to find a link between Reyes and the name on one of the arks "Parcero"?

Wild speculation below....

Parcero can be a Spanish slang word for dude, mate, homie, bro etc. Reyes is a Spanish name/word that can be translated or refer to kings or royalty in english.
The voice in the trailer really sounded like a Quarian. Perhaps the name Reyes refers to his "vas" or "nar" name as in "vas Reyes" or "nar Reyes."
Maybe Reyes is the ship he was born on or serves on.

Why do I think his ship has a Spanish name just because the the side of the ark has a Spanish name? Because we can see the relationship between our own ark and one of our own vehicles. Hyperion and Nomad are both derived from the Greek language. Hyperion was a Titan in Greek mythology and "nomad" also has Greek origins and it refers to "one roaming about for pasture, pastoral tribe, is a member of a community of people who live in different locations, moving from one place to another."

I think Reyes can still be a Quarian and the name Reyes just refers to his ship, as Quarian names do.

Now that that's done. I really don't think this guy is Reyes. The voice just doesn't fit his face AT ALL. If the leak is true he may be the m/m romance that was referred to but I'm 90% sure this guy isn't Reyes .

I hope that if the gay option is not a squadmate, he still plays an important role like the advisors in DA:I.
