Reyes Vidal - No longer A Mystery (Official Thread)

I don't even like Quarians and I still think he's cool. That tells you something.

I hope we'll see his face in the next trailer... I wonder what he looks like and if he has a unique face like Liam and Cora.

IKR? I'm straight as they come and even I think he's hot as hell.

He has several "additional voices" credits on IMDB, so he clearly has the ability to do several accents and so, like Jennifer Hale, can voice a variety of small roles instead of or as well as a larger one if needed. That said, I do expect that Reyes will be a significant character.

My theory in regards to our mystery man is that he is Sloan Kellys replacement.

My reasoning for this is that all the footage in the gameplay trailer we saw where Reyes is heard appears to be on the same world.

When I look at the footage, we are investigating a murder. My thinking is that we are tracking a serial killer who is from the Milky Way and that Roekarr (guessing the spelling) is what the natives have dubbed him.

Reyes is monitoring our scanner on the Nexus and we are in contact with him as we track Roekarr. If we assume its all in the same place and Sloan has influence, it kinda makes sense that Reyes wouldn't be there as he will probably either be killed or detained on sight, Sloan seems like that kind of person to me.

I like to think if that scene is anything to go by, we can assist him in tracking criminals and the like.

Mind you saying the above, I also like sound of him being a crew member or scientist as others have suggested, the above is just my guess work, only time will tell who and what he is. Bring on March 23rd (or 21st) so we can find out!

Also he does kinda sound like a Quarian but I kinda think it could be comm distortion.

It lacked the level of distortion that often goes with the salarian and quarian voices though. So I'm not convinced.
The voice was far too clear to be a Quarian's and not pitched enough to be a salarian. I could be wrong but I don't
think either is quite right either.

I actually didn't think he was an alien at all, but if I had to pick out of the alien races, I thought he sounded more quarian (definitely more quarian than salarian). Maybe I should have explained that, but we didn't know jack about Reyes (just look at the date of my message you are responding to), so it was nice to have something to speculate about.  A what if scenario...

Elsariel: see my message above. I didn't think he was one. And by now, we can probably correctly infer that the latino man in the leak is Reyes. 

Sorry, didn't look at the date of the post. I was only offering my two cents, not getting a dig in if that's what you thought.
