Also, wasn't the stealth technology of the Normandy new? I wasn't aware anyone could have it. It was new, but it wasn't exclusive. By ME3 the Quarians had a stealth ship they used to meet with you at the beginning of the Rannoch arc, the Salarians had a squadron of ships that had stealth ships the same as the Normandy, and the Alliance incorporated it into some of their Kodiaks.

The same thing happened with the Cerberus Normandy, it was more luxurious then the former one. In any case it's only the Pathfinder cabin that it's like this. The other rooms are simply hi-tech. A ship being comfortable or High-Tech is not my issue. The openess and inefficent layout of the interior is, take of example the high ceilings, which are a massive waste of space. Big open rooms also mean that a single decompression could kill the majority of the crew nearly instantly. Surely a small room would be more dangerous from decompression? The air would be gone that much quicker and there'd be less time before you were swept into space.

The air would be gone that much quicker and there'd be less time before you were swept into space. Smaller rooms would have less air to explosively decompress with. And smaller, compartmentalized rooms will ensure that even if one is breached, you still have all the other ones as perfectly usable space.

Interiors room never made sense in the Mass Effect universe, they were always meant to look cool. Not really a problem, but sometimes I wondered while playing the game how nonoptimalit all was. And windows.... why windowns? Just point a camera outside and show it on a screen! Just as good with future tech (I'm thinking The Expanse here by the way).

Well, it is extremely similar, and the drive core is identical (which I believe was paramont to make a stealth ship). So it's reasonable to think the technology is the same. I mean, did we know about any other stealth technology in the ME universe?

These briefing videos are just emanating pure mass effect feeling. Can't wait to play it. The Tempest looks really great inside and out. I want to explore it, now! All the new tech and toys

The Geth have the right idea of windows just being structural weaknesses. I like how in ME3 the Kodiak doesn't have windows but you can use a screen to project what cameras outside the ship capture, creating the illusion of windows with all the upsides without all the bad sides. To be fair, this may be what the Tempest does since I can't really see any of the windows from the outside.

So far they have not shown anything of actual substance. There was that bit with the Nomad and the upgrades for it. And just for reference: What is "actual substance"? As this is a roleplaying game, the actual substance would be a showcase of what the roleplaying experience is like. That's story, player agency and the narrative as a whole. So far Andromeda feels like a Mass Effect version of No Man's Sky.

Love the interior design of the Tempest! Familiar aesthetics, similarities to the Normandy, but also with some new and interesting departures, cozy spaces, cool panoramic observation decks, and a bedroom I wish I could have.
One thing I'm curious about from this video though: Are the drones we deploy automatic, or do we have to control them and mine things manually?

Does it have leather seats? Eh. The lavish cabin seems to point fairly accurately to what Bioware considers to be the important parts of their new story. Technology that makes sense? The ability to handle danger in potentially dangerous territory? Who needs all that as long as we have a unrealistically huge cabin that can serve as background for the various romance scenes. Or-gy! Or-gy! Or-gy!

It's...it's beautiful! And I don't care if it's realistic or not. Indeed she is that's one of the reasons why I can't wait to take command I want to make sure she's well looked after during my missions. She may even put the Normandy SR1 to shame and that was a lovely ship too.

The Tempest and Nomad are both attractive and granular with gorgeous artistry and clean layouts - Kudos to the talented graphic artists in the trenches at BW for creating beautiful spaces to operate in and around. The Tempest has the look and feel of the Normandy to some degree. I noted that the orange colors and hues seen in the Normandy's electronic and electrical equipment seems to be absent this time around. Also absent are the thick cables snaked around the deck floors that were prevalent on the Normandy (applause!). Very roomy in all areas except the kitchen area, yet there doesn't appear to be seated terminal stations for operation crewmates to man; odd, or I need to review the briefing again. Looks like everyone will be standing except for the pilot and navigatgor. The crew kitchen with seating for 5-7 is smaller than I had hoped for, as I think a larger space would be a great place for the squad mates and crew to have a few conversations while drinking a 'cup o joe' or tea. I guess we won't be hanging out in the kitchen; just standing at circular work centers. I'm wondering: When we are in the pathfinder's quarters and looking out through the panoramic windows, will we see meteoroids and stuff wizzing past the ship and show a sense of movement through space? By granular looking, I mean that we see a lot of small details on interior and exterior surfaces. Dust, wear and tear, and imperfections on the Nomad, for example, give a 'heavily used' appearance, and we've seen this granularity on Alec's dusty space-combat suit in earlier vids. I really like this visual-graphic improvement towards a better realism in high-def. Aside from the irritatingly fast-paced salarian VO, the Tempest and Nomad briefing is a nice foray into seeing our new milieu.

They have done those kind of showcases with games more recent than that. They've done it a bit with the Shepard Trilogy, and DAI showed that a bunch.

The shot of the Tempest entering the atmosphere is by far the best thing shown from this game so far. So beautiful. Hopefully scenes like that will be a common thing in the game.

So the Tempest has a sleeping cabin that seem to belong on a pleasure yacht and is unarmed despite its intended purpose of scouting potentially hostile space? How very realistic. I have not seen yet the trailer, but that doesn't surprise me if that's the case. The nomad had already no weapons and it doesn't make any sense. Ryder prefer running and jumping everyhere in an open battle and vast environments against big monsters that could swallow him without warning like in the trailer. Why would you need a canon on your mako to help you, when you can make things more difficult with your little arms and weapons, it isn't funny otherwise. The worst is not that there are no weapons for the nomad, because I suppose the gameplay was not thought that way by the devs, I can accept that, and I just have to headcanon in my head. The worst for me is rather people trying to claim that it makes absolutely sense that the nomad has no weapons. An explorer, especially in mass effect is not unaware of dangers of space, and hostile environments. An explorer would still need to take into account the factor that his mission could be epic fail if he doesn't take a few mesures to protect himself. But I don't bother to argue, I just shrugg. The topic is not important enough for me to waste my breath lol.

I noticed the heat friction glow along the bow and keel, and how the heated surface dissipates. Very realistic and a nice, beautiful touch. A lot of thought, care, and love when into this scene. Love it!

"If we meet an advance life form in the Helius Cluster, let's just hope they are friendly because we no weapons to protect ourselves!". Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Nexus has stealth tech.
