So, in regards to romance: Mac Walters said that you can have a marriage of 'sorts'. I really liked being able to get married in DAI and would have loved it even more if my Inq and Cullen or even Kaidan and my shep could've had kids or at least talked about them or something.
What's your opinion?

Not sure how they could fit kids in, but I wouldn't be opposed to it. Heck, I'd be happy just talking about the possibility for "in the future" aka implied after game end.
Was a bit bummed about the no marriage, but I am interested in what he meant by "marriage of sorts".

Wouldn't mind if there were LIs in MEA that wanted to get married, I oddly found myself enjoying the marriage scene my elven Inky had with Cullen in DAI and will be doing another run to get Sera's as well. For some characters, I think it could be very sweet.
As far as kids I'm not sure how well that would work unless maybe if it was right at the end of the game. I mean I have suspended my disbelief in games with children before i.e. Going through dungeons while pregnant in Rune Factory T.O.D. or in Harvest Moon, but I personally think it would be more of a stretch to do so in a game like Mass Effect. The only way I could maybe see kids working beside end game would be if your LI was a noncombat NPC and they were the one with child.

Why, yes of course, I'd love to marry in MEA. A vorcha. And have 40 or so children, which would be running around screaming "Grraagh!" in their cute little voices and setting things on fire. Adorable. Stay creepy BSN.

No, sorry, not interested in the marriage cutscenes & children dialogues. I know a lot of people love it, but it is not something I am looking for. I am all about torrid affairs and drama in the video-games. I'd take angst too, but only if it is really cool.

I voted for boyfriend/girlfriend just because it would feel rushed in the time frame of a single game. If Ryder returns for future instalments then topic of both should at least be topics for discussion.

Anyhoo, I picked marriage and children because I absolutely loved the Kaidan romance and would have loved to see a better ending for them.

As long as I have a say and choice whether my character wants to marry someone, I'm all up for it for the people that want it. Most of my Shepards are dead, so I'm usually rather a fan of non-happy endings I picked the domestic partnership choice though because I can definitely live with that.

How about giving us an option to encourage our sibling to get married and take part in her/his wedding ceremony? Especially if we get the option to give a hilarious wedding speech or have an insane bachelor/ette party. Anyone know where we can get the number for an Elcor Stripper on short notice?

I don't mind the marriage part but imagine how awkward raising a kid would be.
Example :
Drack : Ryder! We gotta go stop the Kett from attacking a colony world!
Ryder : Shit, let's go!
Liam : Uh, babe?
Ryder : What?!
Liam : You forgot to feed the baby....
Ryder : Oh. Oh yeah.....
And then Ryder has to make a choice between feeding the baby or saving the colony.
Yeah, no thanks.

If I believed that BioWare puts this in, and manages to come up with a compelling narrative and unique and interesting scenarios pertaining to your spouse and/or children, for all possible couples and/or children, adopted or otherwise (you know, cause I'm presuming a human and krogan wouldn't be able to have a child in the traditional way), then sure I wouldn't mind this being in here.
But without really knowing the length or scope of Andromeda's main campaign, I really don't know if it being there would be good or worth the time. And as I said taking into account all possible couples and potential marriages would mean having to come up compelling and interesting storylines for all the different marriages and children etc. I'd love it if BioWare could do all that with this scenario, but I just don't think it will happen.

I'm down with discussing the possibility but I don't see how it would look good or even work if it actually happened in the game unless there are MAJOR time jumps. I did like the blue babies talk in the trilogy. Something like that. But an actual wedding and such? No, thanks.
What I'd like to see are companions who actually have a family (if the timeframe of the game allows it, I would assume most people who go to Andromeda are young and unattached). I liked that about Thane, although the dead wife part fo the romance was awkward and cliche. So I'd rather have non-romance squaddies who have spouses and kids. I would be ok with a single parent love interest if the other parent isn't dead but they just separated (read: no drama). And then the kid is just referenced once in a while.

Anything more than talk about kids would be ridiculous though.

Maybe a bit outside of the scope of the game, I guess, but if there should be sequels - sure, why not! Would be funny to actually have the child of the MEA main character be the protagonist of a follow up game.

Anything more than talk about kids would be ridiculous though. I was mostly referring to children. We don't know yet how much time passes in the game. Since it seems the game starts with the arrival in Andromeda where nothing goes as planned and everybody's fighting for naked survival, I don't think anybody has starting a family on their mind right away. Of course there might be kids on the arcs from the Milky Way... I'd NEVER go on a dangerous one-way trip with my family, but maybe some people would?

I chose the last option, because while I enjoy the romances in these games, marriage I feel kind of ambivalent about. And an in-game wedding ceremony just comes across as a bit silly to me. For me, knowing the relationship will continue past the game's ending is enough. That said, I wouldn't be bothered if it were included. Kids, though? Eh, no thanks. I have a step-kid in real life. And I love her, don't get me wrong, but my game time is also my escape from adulting time. Kids and all the responsibility involved can stay in real life where they belong Yep, my feeling exactly, but on another hand I was pouting that I did not have an option to take in Kolyat after Thane's death, so go figure....

Why would you need to take him in? He's not a kid. As for the whole marriage and children thing in MEA, please no. Keep that stuff for head-canon fantasies.
