Sara & Scott Ryder interviews [updated with VGS double]

I am not enthusiastic about either candidate. First time for everything but I think Bioware missed the mark on good lead VA's this time around hope I am wrong since it is a great part of the games atmosphere.

It's good to see these brought together and presented in one, convenient thread.

I really enjoyed the interview with Tom. It was fun from beginning to end. I got bored with Frydda's interview. I suspect that's more because her interviewer was simply less entertaining than Tom's guys, rather than reflecting on Frydda in any way.

Tom had some great stories, and offered some cool incites into VA work, having taught and worked in the field.

Hey, it's always great to hear some new voices out there, but those three are excellent at what they do!

That's true, but you have yet to hear them in game.  It's kind'a odd distinguishing one voice from the other when they are both being voiced by the same person.   In the trilogy, we already heard Meer or Hale's voice then went searching for them.  Here, it's being presented to us not having heard anything from the two in game characters.  Or rather, much of anything.  I know that we've heard them, just not anything substantial. 

I expect them to be at least be halfway up to par.   I wouldn't expect anything less of BioWare's directing team.  Other than that, you're right...   I have no idea what to expect.

When you start a game and they are in there interacting with each other for most of it, then it's like...

You forget Travis Willingham.

I really like the new Batman Telltale series, but the first thing that occured to me when I played the first episode was: Batman is Troy Baker, Harvey his "best friend" is Travis Willingham. Laura Bailey was definitely in here somewhere (was she Catwoman? Vicky Vale? IDK" it's this local friend clique all over again. Same as Second Son, Uncharted 4, probably Borderlands or something and most friggin anime games.

Just, stop. Does the world really need more Troy Baker right now? He just got the part as Joel in TLoU part 2 so calm down voice acting world!

I think I've linked a video with Fryda's recent character in one of the threads, she's got that role in 'Technomancer'. Can't say I'm impressed, but then again it's hard to compete with Hale or Alix. Not to mention that it all depends on the direction\production\recording, and BW used to be good at that kind of stuff. 

I've found a lot of Tom's tweets on ME:A to be pretty cute. I've enjoyed both actors so far in what little we have from the trailers but I'm not gonna know if I love them until I play the game. New talent is a plus here for me, as I think AAA game companies use some of the same ones way too much.

And I don't, for the life of me, understand why everyone loves Nolan North's voice so much. It's generic as hell to me.

I got slightly worried in Fryda's interview that she's gonna nope out of a sequel. It sounds like she was like "ugh, I don't want to" when she learned she was the protagonist.
