I choose the Salarians because i think every not-very-imaginative alien movie under the sun has had a bug-eyed alien, which all look the same, so there's really no need to bring them back " again". Plus, i've had enough drama with Mordin. The Drell were picked because i never got really taken with them. This is mostly likely due to the shortage of female Drell running around, though if they show some promising Drell female models, i'll likely change my opinion ASAP. And why no Volus? Yes, i know, the weren't any Volus squad members but do we really need to chance having another biotic god in our midst? The moment would just scream WWSD (What Would Shepard Do). ==== Now, why did i leave the others… I left the Turians because i don't want to be unfriended and possibly murdered in my sleep.  The Krogan were left because they're, like, cool and funny and stuff. Quarian and Geth were left in mild hopes that the time would allow the Quarians' immune systems to adapt, with the help of the Geth, by the time the Arks land so we get to see if we'll get sick of their flower faces or not. The Asari because i don't mind carting around with a bunch of Smurf womenz. And why no Vorcha with us? It's not like they'd burn the Arks down to scrap… or would… nevermind. |

 The Drell? The poor things never even got a chance to tell their tale or get a new, desert homeworld. I could easily do without more Asari and no Salarian will ever by Mordin so what's the point in bringing them? I had a heck of a time picking my third. Turians were out of the question--it's not ME without them. I still want a boy Quarian to play with. I feel like the timeline might well have the Krogans far too busy to go around sending enough people to make a viable population along (y'know, with the genophage and all). I can't imagine too many of them pausing their fighting to donate genetic material for possible use in a different galaxy. For that reason, I picked them over the Geth. Ship droids are useful!

I'm tired of cleaning up after the least intelligent Artificial Intelligence race and the most aggressive pikeys in the universe, so bye bye Geth and Quarians.
Seems Darwin has my back on my third choice. The Drell are too weak to live. I'm not wasting time on a race that'd croak if I sent them to the humidor to fetch me a cigar.

I like quarians and drell, but I love the other races more, so... The asari gave us reasons to dislike them for sure in ME3. I didn't add the quarians to my vote, but I think I'll trade them for the Krogan. They actually really ticked me off also. "The reapers are invading! Let's get back our homeworld!" Ugh. Even if they started before the reapers came, it was still a dumb move. Plus they are way too at risk for illness. Krogans on the other hand are crazy tough. |
