Good. Now I can finally turn in my vacation form at work tomorrow. I'll probably wait until February to request my time off... Not really worried about date push backs at this point, but I took 2 weeks off for the holidays so I'd rather wait a while before asking my boss for more time off.  It's pretty casual at my work place, I just have to ask and write it in an employee calendar once the dates are approved. I've never taken days off for a game before but I figure this time around I have a ton of vacation days I won't be using much of otherwise, so why not? |

So I went to gamestop.com and under mass effect: andromeda it says that the release date is March 21 2017, now I have an excuse to take some time off from college - but not to much time especially with college being imporant for me

This is the first time I've preordered a physical copy. It's got me wondering how Amazon handles this. Would you get it on the day of the release or after? I live in Germany, and here Amazon ships early and generally advertises that you will have your copy on launch day. Barring any mess-ups during transportation, your copy should be in your hands on time. However, if the article you're buying is rated USK-18 (which is MEA's default at the moment here) , you must choose a personal delivery method where you need to show your ID to the delivering driver before you get your package. Amazon still explicitly states that the game will be delivered on launch day. It may be different in your country though. |

It's been years since I ordered a physical copy of games, BUT even back in those days, Amazon always delivered ON the day of release. I'd get notifications the day before that they were preparing my package for shipping and the games were shipped overnight. I honestly don't remember if they required signatures. I don't think they did. |

I would prefer it when Andromeda could have a story like Dragon Age 2. No save the world theme. More politics and exploring and discover new civilisations to make conversations and alliances or something but no save the world. Furthermore it would be great when the protagonist is not a semi God or something else
Then I would buy this new Mass Effect on day one.

I've stopped pre-ordering physical games from Amazon due to release date shipping. The last three games I ordered from them didn't come in on release day and I wound up going to Best Buy to pick up a copy. Part of it has to do with SurePost and my local USPS office being the absolutely worst. I got a discounted 1 year UPS My Choice membership a while back just so that I could upgrade SurePost packages and not have to deal with hoping USPS will deliver it the day it's supposed to be delivered. |
