It's kind of a big spoiler. It's not someone you've encountered. And you have to play almost all the way through Citadel DLC to see what I'm talking about with animal rights. Space Hamster, however, stays exactly where he belongs: Shepard's cabin. Oh do I need to buy the fishes or the hamster to see that? I thought I played the Citadel dlc 100% so intrigued right now Oh, I didn't realize you'd finished ME3. So, have you stormed the Normandy to take it back from the person who was trying to steal it? There's a note on top of a pile of stuff to be discarded in the CIC. Read it.

I did Garrus's loyalty mission and I love that even though I didn't personally witness their interactions in ME1, I could still feel their history together. Also, he finally allowed Shep to flirt with him, and I found the scene somehow hilarious (but in a good way). Given his reason for agreeing to sleep with Shepard at some point in the future, I think I will romance him rather than Jacob. Since I have flirted with both, I assume that this is like DA where at some point I will have to turn Jacob down and make it clear that Shepard prefers Garrus? Or you could just not talk to Jacob anymore. But seriously, if you don't continue to flirt (intentionally) with Jacob, it shouldn't come up at all. I say "intentionally" since for whatever reason they made femShep sound flirty even when just saying hello to him.
And yes, the initial scene with Garrus is pretty hilarious.
I like Garrus a lot and his voice really helps to make the character. Now you guys are making me want to flirt with him. I may just have to play this trilogy about 20 times to get all the interesting things done. Maybe by that time I can drive the Mako halfway decently (I drive as badly as I shoot). BTW, I have pushed the trash compacter (ME2) button a few times but have no idea if I'm really blowing up planets or something when I do that.

Nah, you're just literally throwing the trash out the airlock. With the first button press, you'll see a silver square cube drop into the disposal unit. Look to your right and you'll see another green button, press it and that silver cube gets sent out the airlock. Not sure why Shepard is the designated trash boy/girl on the ship though... shouldn't it be something Rupert Gardner does along with his other assorted "falling through the cracks" sort of duties? My answer is in a spoiler tag just to respect the OP's request for minimal spoilers.

Oh good. Passively rejecting him will be even easier. It's so awkward to have Shep undressing him with her voice every time they speak, only to have him respond so dryly.

I think I have some saves pre-party, maybe I'll take a look later I'm not sure... but I think there may be some stuff Shepard can say even if you just buy ship models. However, but the really good lines come up if you have bought fish and the hamster and if you persist in activating the prompt (red circle) multiple times. Regardless of who you have with you, the squad doesn't chime in with anything in that particular moment.
However, the dialogue when you first board the ship and when you're in the elevator to the cargo bay changes quite a bit depending on who you have with you on your squad.
Also, were you aware there are two different parties... and some different combinations of each? Also, the dialogue can also change quite a bit depending on who you invite... and who you don't invite in combination with such things as who you are romancing. After many playthroughs, I'm still triggering dialogue I haven't heard before.

You guys might want to spoiler tag some of this stuff, just to be safe. Oh, I didn't realize you'd finished ME3. So, have you stormed the Normandy to take it back from the person who was trying to steal it? There's a note on top of a pile of stuff to be discarded in the CIC. Read it. I missed that for sure, is that related with buying the hamster and the animal advocate guy? I think I have some saves pre-party, maybe I'll take a look later ^I don't know that I'd consider that line animal-friendly, it's more of a joke... a morbid joke considering the context. Just fyi. Also just gonna say that... Both Kaidan and Jack have animal moments. Jack when you meet her a second time, in the apartment, if you haven't seen it. Kaidan has a line in the Casino part when he's distracting a guard, about the varren racing. Could just be him bullshitting, but I think he's compassionate enough to be somewhat sincere about it. Space hamster is so friggin cute, though. He really does feel like a friend to me -- but I'm also an animal lover who loves having animal companions.

I went for a earlier save in ME2 to buy the hamster to import it in ME3, I haven't bought the fishes though, I hope its not neccesary, still a long run ahead to see that content, but it will worth it relive certain moments
I only did the "noisy" party with everyone possible invited, I'm happy to hear there's so much to see yet!

There are some fish for sale in ME3 as well and buying one variety will do just was well as buying all of them. If you have fish in ME3 (regardless of whether they are ME2 fish or bought new in ME3, you'll probably want to purchase the "Aquarium VI" (which is an automatic fish feeder). Hammy (that's why I named my hamsters), can only be acquired in ME2 and you will have to recapture him (cause he's loose aboard the ship) in ME3. The first time I went to catch, it took me a fair while... made worse by my laughing so hard.

I just wanted to say that coming here to find half a page full of nothing but quotes and spoiler tags made me laugh I do appreciate the effort to keep this free of major spoilers. So here's one of my own, an amusing banter I just heard during Mordin's loyalty mission (not really spoilery, but still): Mordin: *something about hospitals withstanding blah blah blah*
Garrus: That's unfortunate. Hospitals aren't fun to fight through.
Shepard: What is fun to fight through?
Garrus: Gardens, electronic shops, antique stores...but only if they're classy.

There's a note saying "please send this to an animal shelter as a warship is not an appropriate..." That's as far as Shepard reads. I was just making a joke about this part because of your reasons for not getting a pet in the game.

Yeah, high anxiety at that point. But when you tell Kaidan (or whoever you bring) to distract the guards you can just stand there and listen -- and repeat as much as you want, I think, to hear all their lines. And yes, varren fighting is appalling... Samara has a unique clicky/talky thing about it, which I'd recommend hearing.

So the second romance conversation with Garrus was also hilarious. Am I supposed to be finding this funny? I'm going to go replay the scene Extremely minor spoiler/whine: Also, the end boss/tentacle-thing of Grunt's loyalty mission was a total pain in the ass. It took me 3 or 4 tries to figure out all the places to hide from its acid spits, and then Grunt and Garrus ended up taking it down themselves with only a little help from me. Does it aim its attacks only at Shepard? Fuck that guy, seriously.

Funny in a hilarious, adorkable, awkward sort of way? Yes, I think so. It's really sweet though, too.
One's first encounter with a thresher maw is a memory for the ages. And yes, I'm pretty sure it just spits at Shepard because.....reasons. Best to bring out the heavy weapons for that fight. Good way to impress the krogan, however.

Given than Shepard may have killed as many as nine thresher maws in ME1, maybe it hates Shepard.

And yes, varren fighting is appalling... Samara has a unique clicky/talky thing about it, which I'd recommend hearing. Thanks! I will do that to hear all the lines, and I will bring Samara to the pit fight to see what she has to say about that, I really trust her (strict) moral code: 3

One of my favorite lines Play your squad cards right in some ME3 DLC... and the topic may come up again.
The above is probably too ambiguous to be a real spoiler... but I'm just keeping up with appearances here.

What happens if I run out of fuel travelling between stars in a system?
How do the relays (just the normal ones, not the Omega relay) work? If it's a plot point, then please don't spoil it. But if it's just flavor, I'm curious to know.

What happens if I run out of fuel travelling between stars in a system? It will use up your minerals. As a suggestion. When in a system that has a relay, there will be a fuel depot. If planning on leaving the system, make sure you are filled with fuel. Doesn't cost much. Also purchased probes for mining planets to collect minerals. Just move the mini-me SR2 over the relay. From there choose where you want to go.

But if it's just flavor, I'm curious to know. EDI will take you to the nearest fuel depot and you will be penalized an amount of your mineral resources that you have accumulated. You can purchase both fuel and exploration probes at the fuel depots that are located in almost all systems with a mass relay, but I suspect you probably already know that part. If you run out of credits while purchasing fuel, you will still be able to fuel up, but you will go into debt. If you're already out of credits, your fuel will be free, but you won't be able to purchase any probes until you again have some credits. As for how the relays are said to work in the ME universe, there should be a ME2 appropriate explanation in your codex. There is a bit of a plot point about them from ME1 (which you haven't played) but I don't think that's revealed in the ME2 codex. The Wiki page on mass relays is a more complete explanation, but it does spoil that plot point if you read on below the Overview section: masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_relayUnique details about the Omega 4 relay will be revealed as you play the game.

I'm trying to avoid the wiki as much as possible for general info like that in case there are major spoilers, but since you say this isn't really spoilery, I will check it out
