Going Dark, including 'should I go dark' (Official Thread)

Yep, I think it's time for me. I'm going to watch the next trailer with Sara and then that's it for Andromeda news. Plus, hanging out in these forums has actually made me more anxious for the game. If I put it out of my mind for awhile, it will be here before I know it . I might pop in the twitter thread and maybe one or two others in the main forums, but that's it.

I'm going dark when I know review copies are out. As I said earlier, some jerkwad spoiled some ME3 plot points in a dev chat on Twitch a week or so before it released. I was so pissed!
 So have to avoid those places too. Probably just two weeks before launch or so.

I'm not going dark. I seek the light!!!



Honestly, though, gonna miss you people! Hope you enjoy the game when it finally comes out!

I know the embargo lifts tomorrow morning and lots of people had a chance to play several hours of ME:A.  I assume early stuff in the story will be spoiled, things about characters, gameplay and the Tempest/Hyperion.

I was planning on going dark about 10 days before release but now I'm not sure.  Most people here on the BSN boards are repsectful BUT that doesn't mean a troll can't make a topic title a spoiler before a mod takes care of it.

How are you handling tomorrow's info - and what are you doing going forward?

P.S. I really just look at this site and the ME Reddit.

I think I know everything I need to know about Andromeda and I have the game waiting for me on the 21st. I really like chatting with the folks and I cannot focus on playing anything at the moment. I think I will avoid the ME sub-forums, but other than that... I don't know.

I'm gonna watch it all! I don't really care about watching stuff or even spoilers for the most part. Spoiling the ending is different. Playing the game is always a different experience than watching

Beyond looking for the character bios (only Jaal is remaining), the gameplay videos, and the AI Briefing videos I don't think I'm going to be looking too hard for other information. I haven't really gone into an ME game this dark since ME1 when I was skeptical of Bioware's ability to make a 3rd person shooter. But alas, I can't really stay away from shiny things. Hopefully nothing terribly major is spoiled in the next few days.

Absolutely not. Know what you're spending money on. Especially considering how bare-bones the marketing has been up til now. You're about to spend $60-$300 on a game we know next-to-nothing about.
