This thread is to say your goodbyes to the MEA section.....  Anybody else going dark? Post it here! ............................................................................................................... With 70 days to go, I'm going dark for Andromeda. It might be considered early, but I want to keep the hype up, and I want to be surprised as possible! I know Aaryn promised us a 15 minute gameplay video, but I have enough faith that this game will be something I thoroughly enjoy! I want to go dark because I was spoiled by DAI. I knew exactly who I was going to romance, and what race I was going to be in order to romance said character. Was fun, but wasn't as much fun as trying to find out if the person you're flirting with is actually available! I don't want to risk plot spoilers. I don't care what Cora or Liam look like, I'll find out when I play the game! As for the multiplayer? I'll play the beta....but I am done with the teasing tweets and the answering questions, and the briefings. I"ll be hanging out in the off-topic lobby if you need me! (Of course, I'll reply to this thread only....my only place in the MEA section I will grace!)  |

I'm all into spoilers for games, movies, books so I'll still be here. But I will miss those of you who go dark. I do understand why you would want to do that even if I'm all over spoilers myself (mostly because I can't stand to kill off people I don't want to die so I have to know how to keep that from happening).

I'm not going dark, exactly, but I plan to spend less time on the forum as we get closer to release--I've already started cutting down somewhat. Easier to go into the game feeling fresh, and ready to take it for what it is, that way.

That's pretty funny that you mention it, Aetius. Once upon a time, I remember you posting a very specific, not very fond farewell to BSN prime and this whole forum. I remember the names you called us, and I remembered where you went. It didn't take long before you came back though to grace us with your presence.  I just thought I'd let my friends know that I'm not leaving entirely, like someone once led us to believe, but I'll still be around to do the birthday thread and such. Sorry you have such a problem with it! |

Good luck on staying dark! I might do the same closer to launch, but for now I feel the things we get are vague enough that I'm not spoiled by them - a fact that's driving some people mad but I think it's perfect (as I have little self control). I just wish we they'd show more of our companions, as that's literally the last thing I really want to know about before I consider stepping away myself.
I do agree with DAI we got way too much info, and it took the magic out of some parts of the game for me. If MEA starts going that route I'll stick to the spoiler-free thread so I can pick and choose what to watch depending on how safe it is.

You can always click the vid, mute the sound and flee the room for 5 minutes. |

I too would have liked to have not known Garrus was Archangel in 2, that got spoiled for me as well. But I've been pretty good at shielding myself from spoilers for games since so far. The big issue is that being in Europe the US gets the game 2 days before me. So I'm gonna have to boycott all of the websites I frequent because all my online friends play it and a lot of them are American.  |
