The first DLC should be named 'Culpa'. Wow. That's amazing. I actually really want this.

And this is hilarious to this day. It's not a bug, it's a feature. It's the teleportation of Star Trek in small scale, where you can actually see the path.

I like the idea of a Javik-level DLC squaddie, if our starting roster is only 6 or 7. Only if it's a free DLC or a really cheap one and not an essential character story-wise (aka Kasumi). I'll be annoyed if they release a DLC like Javik as he is pretty essential to the story and that was released on day one which should have been in the base game.

Look at TW3
That is the format I want my story DLC in and that is how I want my game improvement updates handled
Look at Halo 5
That is how I want the MP DLC to be handled and paid for

In the baseline ME:A game, the antagonist is the Kett ...
In the DLC for ME:A, they'll change it up a bit, the new antagonist will be the Catt ...
Be afraid, be very afraid ... 'cause them's some scaredy Catts.

If we got a DLC Character in the future, I would want him/her to be something similar to Howitzer from Paragon with a personality like Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy. An alternative to this idea would have two characters that act as one like Groot and Rocket. Some iteration where there's a small character who works with a larger character to fight as one. Ratchet and Clank come to mind as well, but I would want Bioware to make their own thing.

The Mass Effect games has always been great at telling good stories, DLC or main game, and I have faith in what BioWare will bring to the Mass Effect post release. The only thing that I wish BioWare not to focus on when developing a DLC for the game is the combat. The combat in MEA looks terrific & fun but in my opinion the strength of Mass Effect shines on the great story telling, character development, the beautiful worlds & the amazing music. I say this because almost all the game play trailers we got are combat heavy (with some exceptions here and there of course)

I think GTAV is a bad example only because the majority of their DLC is multiplayer. With BioWare I much rather have only two or three single player DLC packages then them focus on only making microtransaction money off multiplayer. It is widely rumored that GTAV DLC is now done too because they are shifting people to sequel for Red Dead Redemption.

To me it felt about the same as Lair of the Shadow Broker from Mass Effect 2. Now if the script where he was kidnapped by the Illusive Man was still in the game then yes I would agree that was meant to be part of the game.

I guess to go into more detail, and of course this is going to assume such things are not in the vanilla game...
1. If ME:A has a true "post-game". Not a "you teleport back in time a bit" like in ME3, but like in ME2 where you have the ability to keep playing after beating the story. I want another Battle Simulator DLC ala Armax or Pinnacle Station. But make it bigger than either of them where the simulator is even more "fantasy" than the previous two in that you aren't forced to play as yourself in the simulator, but instead you can play as any of your squad as well. You would enter the simulator by getting into an in-universe VR machine which puts your consciousness into a holigraphic body of whatever character you pick. Then, if you pick yourself, you play like you'd play outside the simulator, but if you pick someone else, you can try all of their abilities that you've upgraded them to be. Heck, to go even further, have there be a set of unlockable characters who are "Heroes of the Citadel" and they are none other than Shepard and his squad (his ME1 squad to be exact since the Ark left between 1 and 2). You can upgrade their abilities to whatever you want and play as them in the simulator.
2. I know I saw this mentioned above in some fashion, but I would like to see an all new set of planets with their own story.
I can't really think of anything else, but I really want that simulator, even if it isn't exactly like how I imagine one.

The Armax seems redundant to the combat we can engage in out in the open world and the horde mode simulator in Multiplayer

That being said, I would rather have dlc that enhances the open world exploration: -new worlds (new Species and companion) with new colonies -additional vehicles (Mechs, Bikes, Hovercraft, Mounted aliens) -legendary enemies, hunts, and/or Bounties -potential dungeons (this could be like the simulator with multiple levels of enemies to face) -new types of side missions to further layer the existing vanilla content -Space barber and new hairstyles

I like the idea of a Javik-level DLC squaddie, if our starting roster is only 6 or 7. Maybe they could also add some of the species that don't make it in in the base game. The latter could tie in with new multiplayer classes, which I'm certain are coming. A citadel-style DLC would be fantastic as well, particularly if they decide to use a different protagonist in future Andromeda games. That will be great add on for more squaddies, one the thing that I loved Citadel DLC was it open'd the city so much and do thing but I think it will be even more better if they added in co-op mode as well so you can meet up with your friends at the bar or meet at VR lounge.

I'd expect 4 pieces of DLC, approximately 3, 6, 9 and 12 months post-release. July, October, January, April. But how long before folks start asking when DLC will come out? I'd say that call will start almost immediately, it always does.

Right, but I am pretty sure all those examples the quality and size of content is still based around new sales or microtransaction purchases. If people bought boxes non-stop for years with Mass Effect 3 they might have continued updating its multiplayer as well. From my experience they had to stop the weekend events for Mass Effect 3 when they did too for there was a technical problem. My Mass Effect 3 account required a fix that took EA a while to figure out because I had too many entitlements for the game which from my understanding is any additional content aside from the base game, for I had every weekend event complete and purchased DLC for the game.

I rather not see weapon packs or new companions for they seem to not to fit into the game a lot of the time, weapons seem to more powerful then anything in the base game and companions don't feel like they are part of the game. As far as things I would like to see, I think I need to play the game and see what they have done with it prior to being able to think of what I might like added. If I had to pick one thing I would like to see is modifications on what we already have instead of new weapons/armor so being able to add more weapon mods if they are part of the game or individual armor pieces so we can incorporate it into what we already have instead of outright replacing them, but that is more of a complaint from a person that replays games a lot. I don't know about new companions as I though the ydid a decnt job with Javik although I do agree to an extent with Kasumi/Zaeed. As for weapon packs and alternative armour typ DLC I'd be surprised if we didn't get at least 1 even though sometimes they can feel a little empty. Although I've gotto admit in the trilogy I did like aqnd use a lot of what we found in them. Javik was part of the vanilla game. You don't really think a character that integrated into the story with that level of character interaction was actually DLC, do you? His files are already on the disk. The "DLC" simply unlocks him. It's a scam to get you to either preorder or pay extra for what you already bought.
