About buying Andromeda, I mean. And when I say "recent actions", I'm not just referring to the forum closure (though that is one of them). Between the board closure, hiring an openly racist author (N.K. Jemisin) to pen an official novel, and Manveer Heir's openly racist and hateful tweets and comments (about his own co-workers, no less), have things like these influenced your decision to get the game? Personally, I'm not. Granted, I wasn't terribly sure I ever was going to buy it because of ME3, but those 3 things I listed up above have cemented my choice to not touch Andromeda, because I can't justify spending money on a company who employs people like Jemisin or Heir, it goes against my personal sense of morals.

I was already on the fence about ME:A to begin with, after the whole DA:IMP debacle, and that ME:A runs on the same engine. It hasn't changed my mind any, because I'm already suspicious. I will wait to see what people are saying about the ME:AMP before deciding whether to buy it or not. I don't care about the SP at all so if that sucks or not is all the same to me.

For the reasons stated in the OP? No.
I don't live in a safe space and I don't stop buying a product from a company because I don't like one of their employees.
For me, it will be whether the game is any good or not. If it looks to be good (demos and beta play might provide a decent clue) ... then yeah, I'll buy it.
If the game looks like it is going to stink, I don't care how pristine the list of employees of BioWare or EA is ... not going to buy it.

I'm.. honestly probably still going to buy it before I read reviews. I'm certainly wary, and hesitant to put down the money I was going to on a pre-order. But I want to read the first novel and see how it goes from there. I've (mostly) enjoyed all their games to date, so more than willing to give Andromeda a shot.

Not really. I loved ME3 multiplayer so was always going to buy the next ME game straight away. I'm not convinced by what I hear about the SPer aspect, DA:I with the increased focus on exploration was not to my taste and ME:A sounds eerily similar. I doubt I will get another DA game straight away.
I will always judge the company on its games rather than personal views of employees. I will probably be buying the Jemisin book although I might wait on reviews first in case it is terrible. I haven't heard that she is racist and forgive me but I'll treat your opinion on that with a heavy dose of salt.
As for the forum closure, lucky for them Cyonan took over, could well end up better as a well run 3rd party site. I think the forums are much more important than they realise, particularly for the multiplayer aspect. I do understand their perspective, there was a lot of toxicity and trolling, but I still think the importance of having a forum is much greater even if their devs weren't prepared to contribute. Those other means of social media they wanted us to use are completely inferior for the purpose of users discussing their games. To suggest using twitter and facebook was laughable.

"not enough black people in Medieval Europe-based fiction" is a racist. and that's your definition of "racist"? Well, answering your question: no, the recent Bioware's actions didn't change my mind, even when they f***cking close the Official BSN (which for me was the most ASSHOLE move of all). I don't care about Heir. I know about Jemisin and honestly, I don't see how she is racist just because she says things you are not interested in hearing. So...

"not enough black people in Medieval Europe-based fiction" is a racist. Part of me can't be bothered getting into this, but I feel I should. The problem is that there were black people in Europe, dating from at least the Roman times forward, and there is ongoing archaeological evidence of it. Although many originally went as slaves or conquerors, many later settled or were freed and continued as normal citizens. And again she is correct, not many fantasy stories include them, which I am guessing is why you didn't realise they lived there in that period. I guess I should also point out that humans in entirety originally evolved in Africa before diverse migration. I'm puzzled how you think her comments are even approaching racism. I really don't think you should be casting accusations at people, particularly when they are not there to defend themself, when you don't have a really good knowledge of all the facts.

Mass Effect 3 alone openly killed my interest in Andromeda, and this is coming from someone who invested a lot of time into Mass Effect 1 & 2. When 3 got released, I lost all motivation to import my 12 remaining Commander Shepards no thanks to how the remaining 2/3rds of the game panned out. Looking at ME3 through a critical lens, only the Genophage arc was well-written while the rest of the game reeked of "heroes must be idiots because the plot says so." Quarian-Geth War is very debatable, and I found myself on the "needed more writing time" spectrum.

I don't give a sixth of a seventh of a tenth of a fuck about Andromeda. Never have, never will.
Hopefully whatever gameplay they decide to bestow upon us looks good, whenever that is, but I'm not holding my breath.
